Football on my mind: Retired David Beckham brings his boys to visit his old Real Madrid teammates at training camp

He may be retired, but football is still a huge part of David Beckham's life.

And with his former Real Madrid teammates training in Los Angeles, where he is currently on holiday with his family, the former footballer, 38, couldn't resist paying them a visit.

With wife Victoria presumably taking care of their toddler Harper, David brought their three sons Brooklyn, 14; Romeo, 10; and Cruz, eight; to the UCLA Campus on Tuesday.

As well as his ex-teammates from David's four years at the Spanish Premiership club, there was also his former rival Cristiano Ronaldo, who transferred from Manchester United to Real Madrid two years after the English player left.

David and Ronaldo met when England played Portugal in Euro 2004 and World Cup 2006.

Their careers have followed similar routes - David played at Man Utd for 10 years before leaving for Madrid in 2003 - the same year Ronaldo joined the English club.

However, the rivalry appears to have subsided in recent years as the pair happily posed for a photo together, which ended up on Ronaldo's Instagram page.

David is currently holidaying in Los Angeles with his wife and family, amid speculation the family may move back there.

They've been living in London since December after spending five years in California while David was playing for Los Angeles Galaxy.

The Beckhams based themselves in the west of the capital instead of their previous home, Beckingham Palace in Hertfordshire.

Last month, it was claimed the Beckhams were homesick after quitting LA and were hoping to move home.

On Sunday, Victoria tweeted a photo of herself in front of the Hollywood sign, reading: 'So good to be back in LA,and hiking, who knew? X vb.'

And it's not just his Real Madrid pals David has been catching up with, he also met his former Manchester United teammates Ryan Giggs, Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes earlier this month.

The group were celebrating 22 years to the day since they signed their first professional contracts at Old Trafford with a boys' night out at the Artisan Bar & Restaurant in Manchester.
