The two staples of a complete day on the mountains.

Think of it as a way to give tribute to the things that comfort us at the beginning and end of a long day skiing or biking. Consider the cafe where you get your espresso, the La Marzocco that pulls your shots, the bar on the mountain where you grab your mid-day cerveza, or the apres ski lounge at GMD and the Peruvian. Entries don't have to include both coffee and beer together, but more power to you if you can do it in style.

RULES:
1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.
2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.
3. The contest moderator will choose 5 photos to be voted on.
4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way, not an option.)
5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.
6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.
7. The winner has 3 days to start a new contest or 2nd place becomes the new winner.

Not a bad idea. I was trying to follow previous MPC's. I think the shooting time is normally 2 weeks.

I don't want to start changing the rules without somewhat of a democratic process. How bout if I get 3-4 people to post up on the thread with:

"mas tiempo por favor"

I'll go ahead and extend it to March 11th (one more week). Or if everyone is ready to be done with this one, I'll leave it as it is with a closing date of March 4th.

No problem to me if you want to extend it - the MPC's have been a little quiet lately.

I thought this was a pretty cool theme - it gave me an excuse to hang out in the garage with beers and a camera.

Alright folks. I'm going to go ahead and bump this thing to March 11th.

I'm hoping to get some more entries between now and then. These things are only fun when there's some competition and some cool photog to look at (which there already is).

So let's get some people posting up! Smmokan, Lane, Hop, Lonnie and some of the other regulars need to quit playing with their computers on the MPPC and start playing with their cameras in the MPCs again! (sorry to call you dudes out; I'm just hoping for some cool shit).

I agree, extending it is a good idea. I never meant in starting the MPPC to dilute entries into the MPC, but it seems like it's turned out that way. I'll try to take some pictures of beer next week...have a few ideas.

I've got a valid entry for this one but I'm hoping you'll see it somewhere else in a few months.

I've been on call all week and it's shutting down all my fun, but I'll be seeing my favorite brewers this weekend...

I've always really digged this photo, but it is not elligable. I will toss it up for inspiration.

I have certainly been around a lot of coffee and beer in the past few days but for some reason those two items have not been captured by my "2nd angle" cam.

The Gunder "1st angle" has captured a lot.

Tomorrow should be a good day for coffee and beer. I'll see what I can do.
