Here we see the potential for added musical capabilities, mapped against the current technological threshold (IMHO currently represented by the product 'SoundSlice'), and how, in establishing P2P connectivity, global music learning (and hence musical diversity) might be enhanced. A galaxy of dynamic, score-driven musical insights. Music visualization aggregator platform, time-synchronizing musical scores, instrument models and music theory tools to provide highly interactive, score-synchronised views onto underlying musical structures. As valid for guitar, violin, keyboards or bass as for gaida, bağlama/saz/tar, sarod or swarabat, and covering a wide range of temperaments and intonations. Limitations? Only those of underlying exchange format. Motivation, Musicals, Music Score, Instruments, Music Industry

Music Visualizations. World Music Genres Classification Hierarchy - First Cut. Users have a graphical means to narrow any related searches -whether for instruments, teachers, sessions or whatever- to their broad areas of interest. Reuses code adopted for the Instrument selection tree. Depending on the level of detail provided in a music exchange file (MusicXML score, midi or other format), default genre selections could be automatic (and, of course, for comparison purposes, overridable). Music Instrument and Theory Tool Visualizations. Here just one possibility for a chord chart for the DADGAD-tuned guitar, as commonly used in Irish accompaniment. This is a MOCKUP for a future DYNAMIC, in-browser chart showing the chord patterns by mode (Irish music is modal in nature). In the future, it would be automatically linked to the score. Here a MOCKUP of a DYNAMIC chart for a 32-key Jeffries Anglo-Irish concertina, showing the LHS (ie left hand) chord patterns by mode (Irish music is modal in nature). In each chord, a blue circle represents a key 'push', red a 'pull' (the anglo concertina is a diatonic instrument). Chords are shown in the context of modal 'chord scales' common in western European folk music. This might well be implemented using a scatterplot matrix as illustrated elsewhere on this pinboard. Music Instrument and Theory Tool Visualizations. World Music instruments are dynamically loaded into the browser and animated by the score's notation during playback. These predefined instruments are loaded directly from (for example) a Hornbostel-Sachs instrument classification tree, and can be tuned more or less as you like. Music Instruments, Theories
