A Perfect Afternoon At Oakcliff, Circa 1860's

Four presidents in total have stayed at Oakcliff: Presidents Grant, Hayes, Arthur, and Garfield - all former guests of the 2nd estate owner, banker/financier Truman G. Younglove. Oakcliff was originally owned and built circa 1830 by Saratoga County Judge Duncan Mac Martin.

Museum quality period antiques fill every single room in the house from classical Empire Federal, QueenAnn and Chippendale as well as fine French and European Marquetry and Parquetry , adding old depth and beauty to an already quaint and striking bed and breakfast setting. The Inn is decorated with the goal of having a warm and comfy atmosphere with Eco-Friendly furnishings at their finest.

Take a walk into the estate parlor, where a room filled with music from a Masterly Restored 1929 Steinway Duo-Art reproducing piano, (restored by Puls Inc., Roger Puls), that fills the air with modern jazz by Pauline Alpert, George Gershwin, or if you prefer Chopin, Beethoven or Tchaikovsky. Sit. Relax. Reminisce.
