Bulker sinks off Lianyungang, six missing

Bulk carrier Hua Chun 19 sank in the Yellow Sea near Lianyungang yesterday. The vessel was carrying 4,000 ton of steel products from Qingdao to Guangzhou.

Donghai Rescue Bureau sent a rescue team to the site and managed to save five of the eleven crew members onboard, while the other six remains missing.

Rescue operation are ongoing, and authorities have started investigations into the cause of the accident.
