This contest is all about Timing. Whether it's the split second your finger triggers the shutter, or the the temperature you pull your steaks off the grill, timing matters.

This will be a good chance to get that burst mode working at maximum fps or practice the one shot snipe to get the image you want. It could be an action shot taken at just the right time, or a still composition that conjures up the theme of timing.

Creative interpretations always score high marks.

RULES:
1. Photos must be taken within the time period of the contest.
2. You may submit 3 photos during the competition.
3. The contest moderator will choose 5 photos to be voted on.
4. The winner will get a happy feeling in his/her pants. (That is a rule by the way, not an option.)
5. In the event of a tie, the contest moderator will have the deciding vote.
6. Winner will be the contest starter/moderator for the next comp.
7. The winner has 3 days to start a new contest or 2nd place becomes the new winner.

Given the flurry of entries from March 18th to March 28th, I'd say this ran for about 10 days too long.

Havent been over here in awhile. Hmm...I think I like this shot. Timing was waking up at 5, there actually being a sunrise and flat water. Oh yeah, and no boats moored in the bay.

Enough said.

Entry #3 - Timing the drop (I missed it), Huckasoreass Surfing (!) on lake Tahoe, Monday evening

Timing the tour just right. It had been sunny, 55 degrees, and spring like conditions for the week prior to this day. The mountains got a dusting and the wind just happened to deposit enough of the dust in this area to get good turns. Was 55 and sunny for several days after this leaving spring skiing again. The timing was perfect.
