A scarce gem from underrated Conceptualist Robert Cumming! Cumming has long been known for the sort of conceptual photography that relies on the tension between reality and the perception of reality. His art presents succinct, humorous reminders about what can be understood from a photograph. He often parodies popular science, usually by staging methodically documented experiments. For this project, Cumming used hamburgers from various chain restaurants; he then photographed each each of them alongside a scale with a card stating all of the burgers identifying details: name, weight, restaurant from which it came, price, date photographed, etc...
