The first rumors that Fujifilm was working on a new X200 camera that would be the successor of the current X100/X100S models appeared a few months back, but since then nothing else has come out.

Today, a new source has revealed for FujiRumors some new bits of information regarding the upcoming high-end Fujifilm compact camera. According to this source, the new Fujifilm X200 will come as a complete upgrade to the current X100/X100S cameras.

Moreover, X200 will feature a 24MP full-frame X-Trans sensor, a new fixed lens, faster AF, and better EVF than the X100S, wider phase detection area and tilting LCD screen.

If these specs are true, then Fujifilm X200 will be the best compact camera on the market if the other camera manufacturers don't have anything important planned for this segment. Of course, since the info comes from a new source, take this with a grain of salt until we find out more on the matter.
