My other car's a jet... Or how to turn a garage door into a work of art
At first glance, this looks like a very well-to-do neighbourhood. One in which Formula One racing cars, private jets, speedboats and the kind of equipment that any fledgling rock band would be proud of are left lying around in the garage.
In fact, these utterly realistic images are printed on plastic sheets which are stuck on garage doors - the latest craze for home owners who want to not so much keep up with, as totally freak out, the Joneses.
The weather and fire-resistant prints are designed to disguise that boring, flaky, greying metalwork. Held in place by industrial strength Velcro, they are easy to change and virtually indestructible.
Who needs Air Miles? We've got a jet fighter in the garage
What men really want: An old MG
The fashion started in Germany and is now being taken up by humorous garage owners over here. At £145, it's certainly quite a lot cheaper than a real sports car, jet fighter, or whatever.
And for the more imaginative customer, creator Thomas Sassenbach (www.styleyourgarage.com) will customise any image on request. Now, has anyone seen the pet crocodile today?
There's an old croc in the garage. Trouble is, it's swallowed the car
You'd get a sore nose if you walked into this apparently empty garage
Not one impressive racing car, not two... In fact, it's Formula None
Pop round for a spot of launch, old chap. Dress code? Sou'wester, life jacket...and red face
Now where's that old trunk in the garage?
Garage music: This could send the neighbours looking for some sound-proofing
You can almost feel the sand between your toes. Except there isn't any there
Why doesn't that train ever go? But the perspective is perfect
