Police statement after three-vehicles involved in crash

Northumbria Police has confirmed that three vehicles were involved in this morning's crash.

At around 7am today (Thursday), we received a report of a three-vehicle collision on the A19 northbound just before the Tyne Tunnel.
Emergency services are currently on scene.
One lane is currently closed to traffic, and drivers are advised to expect slight delays when travelling in the area.

There are still traffic delays following this morning's crash on the A19.
