Professional audio acquisition
BY-XM6 S2 adopts high-quality capsule and signal processing circuitry, and the product has a signal-to-noise ratio of over 84dB and a distortion rate of less than 0.1%. Also equipped with a lavalier microphone and windproof cotton, it can capture and deliver high-fidelity, low-noise audio at close range. Provide broadcast-grade sound quality.
Stable signal transmission
The BY-XM6 S2 enables stable signal transmission within 100 meters (328 feet). This is because of the advanced Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH) wireless signal transmission technology, which enables the BY-XM6 S2 to automatically avoid interference-prone frequency hopping sections.
2 types of sound channel selection
The microphone is available in stereo and mono, which can be switched according to the recording needs of different usage situations to facilitate the audio needed for later editing. At the same time, switching the sound channel will be displayed on the OLED screen for easy operation.

6 Level Gain Adjustment
The transmitter has 6-level (0-24db) gain adjustment, which can effectively capture clean and clear sound.

7 hours of battery life
Both the transmitter and receiver have built-in lithium battery, which supports C-type interface charging.
After fully charged in two hours, it can be used for 7 hours. The OLED screen can display the remaining power to avoid low power affecting the shooting.

The microphone can be clipped directly to the collar, or you can use the included smaller omnidirectional lavalier mic to collect the sound.

1.The equipment used needs to be equipped with the appropriate adapter cable
2.To connect iPhone 7 and above iOS smartphones, please use the original Lightning-3.5mm TRRS adapter cable purchased from the official Apple website or BOYA BY-K1 Lightning-3.5mm TRRS adapter cable whenever possible. This is because using a third party lightning cable may cause incompatibility or affect the sound quality.
3.When used with Android, the microphone works well in audio. If it does not work in video mode, we recommend that you use it with a third party video app.
4.Don't turn your back to the receiver when using the microphone, please keep facing each other. Otherwise, it is easy to break point (note: this is normal).

EDIT - Boya Stood by their Product... AFTER leaving a negative review, I was contacted by Boya. They shipped me a new transmitter with a new clip attached. So now I'm back to having a working device. I will say that their contact us link on the company site proved to be fruitless. Clearly they watch Amazon for negative reviews though as I was contacted by them shortly after posting. Kudos to them for following through, but do look into your customer service overall as I shouldn't have to leave a negative review here just to get your attention. I'm bumping the product back to 4 stars as the product does what it claims to do. After months of use, my only gripe is that it takes a second for each device to turn on. AFTER leaving a negative review, I was contacted by Boya. They shipped me a new transmitter with a new clip attached. So now I'm back to having a working device. I will say that their contact us link on the company site proved to be fruitless. Clearly they watch Amazon for negative reviews though as I was contacted by them shortly after posting. Kudos to them for following through, but do look into your customer service overall as I shouldn't have to leave a negative review here just to get your attention.

In terms of sound and functionality I was very pleased. I use it twice a month to record an hour videos for Youtube. After 18 months using it, the clip of the transmitter broke (while using it in my clothes) and now it's useless, unless using the lavalier, but this is noisy when being in contact with my hair or clothes while I"m moving. Wish I could claim the 24 month warranty, at least for a discount buying another piece of the transmitter alone.
