Love's Suicide: Love's Suicide Kindle Edition
Brooks showed up to be our best man the night before our nuptials. After drinks and too much reminiscing, I ended up in bed with the wrong brother. To avoid the humiliation and the fact that I’d ruined all of our lives, I left Branch and the only family I’d ever known.
That’s where my story should have ended.
Almost three years, one beautiful little girl and an abusive marriage later, I was standing there staring at the man that would always hold my heart.
The only question was…
Would I give it to him
I’m Katy Michaels and this is my story.

- Reviewed in Australia on 3 February 2020Verified PurchaseLoved this book... had to stop reading a few times because it became hard to bare some of the things Katy went through... That and I couldn't really see past my tears.
I was seriously disappointed in her so called friends and town with how they treated her and how they always took Bobby's side... That was super frustrating to read!
I loved B and Brooks and loved them even more when they were together.
All up a great read did get frustrated with Katy a few times but all ended well... was worried for a while there though.
- Reviewed in Australia on 24 March 2014Verified PurchaseI am a huge Jennifer Foor fan & I have to said she has once again hit the jackpot with this one! This was a beautifully written story. Although I sometimes wanted to shake some sense into Katy Jennifer really wrote her struggle with life & her relationships so well. She has highlighted the dangers of taking what looks like the easy way out when you really think you have no other options. Katy's story is one that many women across the world can relate to on some level. Even though Brookes & Katy did eventually get their happy ever after it wasn't an easy road & but it was a journey well worth taking the time to read. I was hooked on this story within the 1st 2 pages & didn't want to stop reading till I got to the end!
Well done once again Jennifer xx

Not a day goes by that she doesn't think of Brooks, it's pretty hard with Brooklyn 'B' is a spitting image of her father.
With her heart gone, Katy decides it's time to move on and really try with Bobby, living life as a proper couple. She loves Bobby as best as she can, after all you can't give someone your whole heart when it's already with someone else.
An outing in town to celebrate the Fourth of July, watching the parade is about to turn Katy's life upside down... Surely that can't be who she thinks it is... Katy's life will changed forever the moment she walks into her house stopping dead in her tracks, the other half of her heart is sitting at the table with her husband.
How will Katy, Brooks, and Bobby continue their complicated lives? Will Katy stay faithful to Bobby, will Brooks fight for his girls? And how will Danica and Walt take the news that they are grandparents?
Again we cannot express how much this book touched us emotionally. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Congratulations Jenn on another amzing book and we can't to see what's next from you.

5.0 out of 5 stars beautiful outcome!
Verified PurchaseOh my goodness!
This had me rooting for Brookes and Katy, from the beginning! they were best friends from the start,
I detested Branch for what he did to them both, so jealous of his brother for that whole time.
Even when she had made her decision! She bumbled through life for the next few years making the wrong choices, after loosing her parents in the 9/11 atrocities, not realiasing the consequences her decisions were going to make!
Brookes went off to the army as a ploy to get away from her after his twin had made the decision he wanted her and certainly didn't want Katy to go with Brookes. oh what a hottie, deffo want him in my corner!
I loved how the twins family took her in and treated her as she deserved as family!
So she continued with Branch even though in her heart she felt there was something not quite right/ missing.
So after planning her wedding to Branch she meets Brookes again after he left to join the army, she knew she found her other half, and credit where its due she tried to do the right thing, even then I though Mel was hiding something! We find our later!
Katy ends up spending one last night with Brookes, her life changes beyond everything she had ever known. She did find a small town, which became her home, and I thought she was
going to be ok, but you knew life was going to throw curve balls at her.
She finds out she is expecting, and without money she is having a hard time, gotta be honest I was a little mad she kept secrets from everyone who meant something to her.
She goes on, living her life! having her baby, but there is always a huge part missing!
The missing part catches up, but she is really torn with doing the right thing where both parties are concerned.
Katy's life is turned on its head, and without dire consequences, but life seems to be on her side, that's no it to say it's been easy, had I dealt with the things she had would have had anyone caving under, but give her her due, although she was forever doubting her choices life happened for a reason, her reason for happiness.
The epilogue was beautiful, after all the secrets I am glad Katy got what she wanted.
A lovely story, heartfelt, emotional, happy and sad,

5.0 out of 5 stars J4's BEST BOOK YET!
Verified PurchaseI’ve been a HUGE fan of author Jenn Foor since she first introduced us to Colt Mitchell and the entire Mitchell clan. I’ve read and loved her books, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and fan-girling her in person on more than one occasion and I have always thought she is a great writer. So of course I could not wait to read her latest release, Love’s Suicide. Well let me tell you Jenn Foor has outdone herself with this one! It is like none of the other books she’s written and I think it is her best work yet.
What makes Love’s Suicide such an incredible book? For me it is the emotional turmoil this book put me through. To me these characters became real and I felt everything along with them. All their feelings of love, grief, sadness, anger, fear, hopelessness, despair, happiness, strength came through the pages and I found myself experiencing them right along with Katy, Brooks, Branch, and all the others. I love when a book can do that for me, it’s what I enjoy most about reading. When an author captures that emotion so deeply and so perfectly the way Jenn Foor does here, I am in love. Even if it means at times I want to yell at her for putting me through this or scream at her for the decisions these characters make, it is only out of love for the story.
Tissues. You will need PLENTY of them while reading Love’s Suicide. This book is filled with so many tear-jerking moments, and at times I thought my heart couldn’t take much more. The angst is so intense and just keeps coming back. You start to relax, you think everything is finally going to be okay and all worked out and then BAM! There’s another twist in the happiness plan and the angst is back in full-force. Again you find your heart racing and your hands shaking as you turn the pages, hoping once again for it all to work out the way you want it to. Does it? I will not say. For me not knowing if all problems get solved is one of the best parts of reading and I won’t spoil that for anyone. Just know this is a long story. It goes quickly because it pulls you in right away and you are constantly on edge wanting to know what’s going to happen next, but in terms of size it is a big book. So make sure you have the time to devote to it because you will not want to put it down.
The characters Jenn Foor has created are so real and very well developed. I feel as though I got to know them intimately as I read the story. Did I love them all? No I did not. But to me that is a true testament to the author’s wonderful writing ability. I remained glued to this story even after I decided that Katy was driving me crazy making one poor decision after another. I wanted to reach in and wring her neck screaming at her to rethink her actions! My fists clenched many times as I watched her life take another bad turn. I don’t want to get into any story details about why she does what she does; I won’t give anything away. She has her reasons and they are somewhat justified. On the other hand my heart wept for Brooks and all that Katy and others put him through. I so badly wanted him to find the happiness and peace he so deserved. All the other characters are wonderful as well and had my emotions all over the place, even conflicting at times. I found myself liking and hating a character almost at the same time.
The message I took away from this story is that you truly cannot change the past. It doesn’t gain you anything to constantly look back and harp on the “what if’s” and “if only’s”; what’s done is done. You can only move forward and hope that your future will be built on what you’ve learned from your past. And on that note I cannot wait to move forward to the next Jenn Foor book as she continues to amaze me story after story. Thank you Jenn for bringing this incredible story and these characters to life.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the most heart breaking books.
Verified PurchaseThis is one of the most heart breaking books I have read in a long time. My heart is aching for this beautiful couple. What an amazing book. I'm lost for words, which is a rarity. How many times can one couple have so much against them to over come everything thrown their way.
On September 11th 2001 the United States of America lost so many people. A day the world will never forget. A horrific event robbed so many of their loved ones.
A day Katy will never forget. The day both her parents lost their lives.
Katy loved both the Valentine boys, she had grown up with them. But in the end she had to pick one. Branch, he was her saviour. Or so Katy thought.
What must it feel like to love so many people you cherished with everything. Katy had been robbed of so much. First her parents were took at an early age and then the Afghanistan war took the only man she had truly loved.
Katy had always loved him from there first kiss. He had given her, her first child, who looked identical to him. She was scared to contact his parents due to what happened between her and his brother. She didn't want to disappoint them. They had given her so much.
Brook had loved Katy since he could remember. He gave her his first everything. To only have his heart broken time and time again. Being the better man and to save his family, he done the only brave thing he could do. He walked away. He knew he was losing her. But he had to for his family.
Brook is the most selfless man in any character I have ever read. He has gone through so much. To be able to forgive through true love is astonishing. My heart strings were pulling for him. No matter what he did how could he change what he never knew.
I just kept on thinking if they lay their cards on the table then all this drama could of been dealt with easily. However then we would of had no story so it was a no win situation.
Katy had fought for her happiness for so long. When tragedy struck, the day her heart finally broken she done what she thought was best. She gave it to Bobby. She understood it was all she deserved. Even after all he had previously put her through.
But no matter what happened she couldn't stop seeing him. Was her imagination playing with her mind. She knew it couldn't be possible otherwise he would of contacted her.
If you have ever loved someone and had to let them go then you would really understand this book. It constantly broke my heart.
Katy had gone through so much pain and hear ache, she did what she thought was best. Although sometimes I don't think she thought stuff through rationally. I think her heart was always in the right place.
I hated the way bobby treated her sometimes. Okay you could agree it was justified, but how ever you colour gloss it. No woman deserves that. Even after it all she forgave him, for him to revert back to his original ways. I truly liked bobby up until these points. I knew he never wanted to lose his family. But that's one hell of a way to lose them.
This book was addictive. I couldn't put it down once I started. I didn't know who to cry more for though. It was heart breaking to say the least.
Brook has stolen my heart.
True love should out live anything.
