About that Nikon event in Lanzarote

The Nikon event is Lanzarote is/was real and this was confirmed by several sources, including my least favorite website PetaPixel – they recently published an article titled “Despite the Rumors (and Jokes), Nikon is Not Announcing the Z6 III“. Now, if they know what is coming next from Nikon, they would be breaking their NDA by making this statement. If they don’t know what is coming, then why would they publish this nonsense, especially given their own claim that they do not like to report on rumors:

If the Nikon event in Lanzarote is real, which we all agree it is, then why is nobody posting on social media about it? After all, this is what influencers do – they promote products online. Maybe they are all under NDA and cannot talk about the trip before the embargo is over? I do not know. Do you think Nikon will spend $100k+ and invite people to a remote island just to have some fun under the sun a month before the 2024 CP+ show in Japan and not show them any new products?

The only scenario I see where PetaPixel could be correct is if the Lanzarote event is actually next week (I initially reported that it will take place at the end of January) and we start seeing plenty of posts on social media – no NDA, no embargoes, just some influencers having fun in Lanzarote without any new Nikon products. A third possibility is that there is another Nikon event, in addition to Lanzarote, where the Z6III will be revealed. What do you think?
