Mobile devices are increasingly popular in our everyday lives as well as our educational opportunities. From pre-K to higher education, students and instructors alike rely on tablets, smartphones, and more to facilitate the learning experience. However, even while these useful devices record notes from college lectures or get sticky from little fingers, they’re one day closer to becoming outdated by the next tool on the market. As educators, we should have an outlook characterized by anticipation; many schools and institutions have long had plans for outdated desktops and laptops, but what do we do with the 20-30 iPads the school purchased three years ago? This survey represents one part of a process that plans to find out.
Please answer the following questions based on your experiences with mobile devices in education, whether past, current, or future. After you complete this survey, you will be shown a spreadsheet with the answers other participants have provided.
