- Google Wave: Taking the Enterprise from Microsoft? Two weeks ago, everybody was talking about it. It manhandled the blogosphere, was a trending topic on Twitter, and whispers of it could still be heard coming from the mouths of various Gilbane SF attendees last week.
- Hippo Embraces Apache Jetspeed's Revival. The open source ECM vendor Hippo, in an effort to develop a closer relationship with the Jetspeed community, has been busy contributing to this Apache project and even released its own product and support package for Apache Jetspeed 2.2.
- Open Web Vancouver: Hijacked by Pirates. On January 1, 2006, Rick Falkvinge set up a web page for the Swedish Pirate Party. He mentioned the address in a single chat room, and within 24 hours he had over the 2,000 signatures he needed for the party to participate in the upcoming election.
- Autonomy Does Mobile Doc Management on the iPhone. Are you a lawyer, always on the go, needing to work on documents with remote teams when you aren't in the office? You probably aren't alone. And that's likely why Autonomy has come out with a document management solution for the iPhone.
- KnowledgeTree Updates Open Source ECM, Adds Key Enterprise Features. Open Source solutions seem to be in high demand in this down economy. So what do open source enterprise content management providers do to meet this demand? They add new features and functionality of course. At least that is what KnowledgeTree has done.
- Movable Type 4.26 Released - Bugs, Performance, Security. There's a new version of the Movable Type publishing system out. This latest release from Six Apart fixes issues, offers performance improvements and ties up one small security hole.
- FatWire Named Leader in Web CMS for External Sites. Obviously if you make the list of any analyst report — at least in a good light — you want the world to know. For FatWire, that analyst report comes in the form of the Forrester Wave for Web Content Management For External Sites, Q2 2009.
