Dear Colleague,
It is time to establish affiliations with professional organizations: local (CAA), state (OAESA or OASSA), and national (NAESP or NASSP).  Please complete the registration documents below to become a member or to continue your membership for 2020-2021.

But why join?  Professional affiliations will enhance your career and provide an array of professional services:  legal assistance (e.g., legal protection plans, access to attorneys);  personal assistance;  monitoring of litigations and legislation;  peer recognition programs;  advocacy at state and national level on behalf of school administrators;  professional representation at board meetings, hearings, job actions; timely publications related to legal issues, curriculum, staff development, management, community relations;  network to colleagues from around Ohio and the nation;  job vacancy listings;  on-line publications, workshops, salary studies, and conferences.  With the state and nation being more focused on education and its operations, it is very important that administrators in Columbus support the organizations that represent administrators.

Below are the membership and payroll deduction authorization forms.  If you do not have/want to have your membership payroll deducted, you have the option to pay for your membership in full. Make checks payable to CAA and send them to Mary Anne Baum at the Columbus Education Center  (270 East State Street).  You also have the option to stop or modify your payroll deduction.  

When completing the form, please note your membership in one of the subsidiary organizations of CAA, those being, (Columbus Elementary Administrator Association (CEAA), Columbus Middle School Administrator Association (CMAA), Columbus High School Administrator Association (CHAA) and the Columbus Central Office Administrator Association (CDAA) will now be covered when you join the CAA.  When you identify  which subsidiary organization you want to join a portion of your CAA dues will be directed to that organization.

The enclosed membership materials are for CAA, CEAA, CMAA, CHAA, CDAA, State, and National affiliations.  You are now able to join NAESP with these materials, as well.  Keep in mind . . . professional dues are tax deducible. Consult a tax professional for details.  The legal support that the associations provide is more than worth the membership costs!
