The despicable woman defended herself with a black sword made of mist. She shot mist up from the ground and shot it at his legs. Quickly, he jumped over the dark angel and landed behind her. "SHUT UP!!" With great force, he slammed his blade on the ground, causing massive pillars of flame to rise up around him. "I DON'T CARE FOR ANYTHING YOU SAY!! ALL I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU IS YOUR CRIES OF AGONY AS YOU DIE!!"

Lifting up the sword, he dashed straight at the black-eyed woman and swung at her wildly. "DIE ALREADY!!" He screamed with a bellowing voice. Flames littered the area he had struck, as he left even more like footprints.

"Calm yourself down, moron! Don't let your anger get the better of you !"

"SHUT UP!!" He yelled as he recklessly continued to pursue Lu.

"Damn, I need to find a way to calm him down before something serious happens... "

After getting a run down of the situation from Brandon and discovering that the swords weren't exactly ready for them to use, Logan sighed before he pondered what to do. His options were stay here and do nothing, well nothing that he could think to do, or head outside and deal with the demons and Dark Angels outside. The first option wasn't the highest on his to do list and thus was leaning to the second option.

Think of it this way, you need to get some fighting experience that you can actual win and there's plenty of opponents for you to face right outside.

Samael chimed in, for the first time since they were getting Milo. He chose to ignore the comment about him be able to actually win, mainly cause he just added to the list of things that he'd get him back for. It was a slowly growing list.

Still he did need a way to test out the suppose power that he had. He dug into his pocket and pulled out his wand/sword, conveniently turned into a smallish ball. Why? Cause he was too lazy to think of anything better. Shifting it into a sword, he stepped outside. He took a deep breath in before concentrating. In his effort to mimic what he's seen Samael do, he focused on his shadow. It took a bit but eventually two other shadowy figures broke off and took shape next to him. It was refreshing to see them not beating him for once.

I wonder if this means I can summon an army?

You'd pass out or die before that happened

Killjoy. Either way, this was still good enough to take care of the demons around him. So he gave the shadows a mental command to attack and they did just that. ​

Mali felt the unfortunate tug of someone latching on to her and looked back to see Grandpa with his grubby paws on her. She rolled her eyes and emerged from the mist in the Nephilim bedroom. Mali swatted at his hands and moved over to the crib that was near Caius's bed. He was the last one to be a baby so it was only fitting that it was left by where he slept. She set Reuben down and turned to face the old man. "All right. You're here. Are you happy. Normally Anna's in here but no one seems to be around. You'll have to look for them on your own because I'm done helping old people."

"You'll get old too someday and no one's going to help a person like you when you're my age. If you live that long. ...But thanks, kid."

"It's going to take a very long time for me to get old. Now go." She shooed him towards the door so that she could go about her business without someone shadowing her.

"I'm content waiting here. If Anna's normally here I'll wait for her to come back."

She groaned. Mali grabbed the kid back out of the crib and rolled her eyes. She gave Grandpa a sarcastic wave and walked out of the room with the boy. There halls were strangely empty and she wondered why, but not enough to go look. There were a couple of places that seemed good to drop off the kid -- one of them being the cells in the basement, but a demon would probably eat him. Considering that probably wouldn't be best, she decided that the operating room would work well enough. Regulus frequented it and would probably take the boy for some of his experiments or something. She didn't care what happened to him after all.

Mali opened the door and looked around. It was empty in here as well. She shrugged her shoulders and looked for a good place to set him down. He would probably fall off the tables or the chairs so the floor would have to do, but just leaving him on the floor meant he could crawl away. Moving to the corner, she found a crate and flipped it upside down. Mali set Reuben down and put the crate over him like a cage. Good enough. She nodded her head and smashed the other orb, heading back to the fight.​

"SHUT UP!!" LEON TURNED AT THE SOUND OF THE VOICE. A HELLHOUND LUNGED AT HIS MOMENTARY DISTRACTION AND HE RAN CONTEGO THROUGH ITS CHEST. LEON HURRIED BACK TO HIS FEET IN TIME TO SEE SAMUEL SLAM HIS BLADE ON THE GROUND. MASSIVE PILLARS OF FIRE ROSE UP AROUND HIM AND HE SHOOK HIS HEAD. THE ANGEL OF DESTRUCTION WAS LOSING CONTROL. EVERYTHING THEY HAD BEEN WORKING ON WAS RAPIDLY GOING OUT THE WINDOW. "I DON'T CARE FOR ANYTHING YOU SAY!! ALL I WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU IS YOUR CRIES OF AGONY AS YOU DIE!!"

HIS ANGER LEFT HIM VULNERABLE. LEON'S GOLDEN EYES SEARCHED FOR XATHANAEL AND IT TOOK ONLY A MOMENT TO REALIZE WHERE SHE WAS. SAMUEL WASN'T PAYING ANY ATTENTION TO HIS SURROUNDINGS. HE HAD A SERIOUS CASE OF TUNNEL - VISION AND HIS ONLY FOCUS WAS TEMELUCHAS. A DEMON WAS WEAVING IN AND OUT OF THE BLASTS OF FLAMES SHOOTING UP FROM THE GROUND HEADED STRAIGHT FOR THE MAN.

"DIE ALREADY!!"

XATHANAEL ABANDONED HER FIGHT WITH THE DEMON MAMMON AND WAS HEADED STRAIGHT FOR THE CROSS - FIRES.

"SHUT UP!!"

THIS WAS A BAD IDEA.

LEON PUSHED HIMSELF FORWARD. "HANA NO!" HE RAN AFTER HER, PUSHING THE WOMAN TO THE GROUND. UNDER NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES, HE WOULD NEVER DO SOMETHING SO RUDE TO A WOMAN, BUT HE HAD TO STOP HER. CONTEGO SHIFTED INTO A SHIELD AND HE LUNGED HIMSELF BETWEEN CHIMERA AND SAMUEL. THE SNAKE HEAD SLAMMED INTO THE GOLDEN SHIELD AND HE WAS PUSHED BACK INTO THE FOUNTAINS OF FLAMES. HE WAS KNOCKED INTO SAM'S BACK AND FIRE BURNED HIS BODY.

CONTEGO SHIFTED TO A SWORD BUT HE WAS TOO WEAK TO SWING AT THE DEMON. IT DUG ITS LARGE PAWS INTO THE GROUND, PREPAIRING TO LUNGE AT HIM. THE SNAKE SHOT ITS HEAD FORWARD AGAIN, LATCHING ONTO HIS SHOULDER. ARIEL SCREAMED AND POISON SEEPED INTO HIS BODY.

THE LIFE OF A GUARDIAN WAS NEVER A REWARDING ONE. IT ALWAYS MEANT TAKING THE BLOW FOR SOMEBODY ELSE.​

Something had pressed against his back, but he didn't care, all that mattered to him was killing Lu. Killing, utterly destroying, anything that would satisfy his ever-growing blood lust. Not even the screaming fazed him. "What the- Damn that Ariel, sticking his damn nose in like that !" Abaddon quickly realized how he could calm him down after seeing Leon getting hit. "You dumbass, get a grip ! If you don't stop raging about like this, Xathanael is more than likely to jump in and get hurt, just like the idiot behind you !"

"WHAT?!" Quickly, he looked behind him to see the injured Leon. He turned back to look at Lu, making sure she hadn't moved. His intense hatred kept him from wanting to look away, but he realized that what Abaddon said was true. Hana would've definitely jumped in if she had the chance. In his blind rage, he was likely to harm, or more likely kill, her. That was something he wanted to avoid at all costs. He grit his teeth as he stared at the dark angel's hideous form that was hidden behind the bandages.

He let out a roar as more flames erupted before finally calming down. The pillars of flame that danced around him had dissipated and the crimson flames that wreathed his body and mellowed. His blade transformed into something more reasonable in size as he stared daggers at the thing in across from him. The temperamental man audibly popped his neck from side to side as he calmed himself down. "Dammit, just looking at this hideous bitch is pissing me off so damn much!"

"Finally calmed down, I see. It's about time, you idiot. Keep your wits about you, this one is not some mindless creature. " The Angel of Destruction reprimanded.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever. First things first, though." Swiftly, he moved around and sliced the snake head from its neck and lifted the main body of the chimera up with one arm. After slamming its body down to the ground and engulfing its body in flames, he chopped it in half before kicking part of it at Lu. While she was hopefully distracted by that, he took Leon and sat him against a nearby wall. "Shit, this is bad!"

LEON VISIBLY CRINGED AT THE CONTACT. HE LOOKED UP BETWEEN SQUINTED EYES TO SEE SAMUEL HOLDING HIM. A SHARP BREATH ESCAPED HIM AS HE WAS SET AGAINST THE WALL AND HIS HEAD DROOPED TO THE SIDE. IT SEEMED LIKE RECENTLY HE WAS ALWAYS DYING. AT LEAST NOW HE COULD GO LOOKING FOR URIEL IN THE NEW LIFE. "Shit, this is bad!" SAMUEL LOOKED PANICKED. LEON MUST HAVE LOOKED EVEN WORSE THAN HE FELT, WHICH WAS PRETTY BAD. EVERYTHING STUNG FROM THE RAW TENDER SKIN AND THE VENOM COURSING THROUGH HIS VEINS WAS BURNING HIM FROM THE INSIDE OUT. IT WAS LIKE THERE WAS NO WAY TO FIGHT OFF THE BURNING SENSATION. THE FLAMES HAD SCORCHED HIS OUTSIDES AND THE VENOM WAS EATING AWAY AT HIS INSIDES.

THERE WERE HEAVY FOOTSTEPS AND A BLUR OF RED PASSED BY HIS FACE. BLUE EYES LOCKED ONTO HIS GOLDEN ONES AND HIS FACE STUNG. THE FAMILIAR TOUCH OF HANDS AGAINST HIS CHEEKS STUNG LIKE NO OTHER. HE BLINKED A FEW TIMES. THERE WAS RINGING IN HIS EARS AND HE COULDN'T QUITE MAKE OUT WHAT WAS BEING SAID. LEON TRIED TO READ THE SHAPES OF HER LIPS. SOMETHING ABOUT 'LIVE' AND 'VIN.' HUH? OH. "VINCENT," HE CHOKED OUT IN A WHISPER. SHE LOOKED APPREHENSIVE TO LEAVE, BUT SOMEONE NEEDED TO GET HIM AFTER ALL.

XATHANAEL ROSE FROM HER FEET, BUT NOT IN TIME. JUST BECAUSE SHE AND SAM WERE PREOCCUPIED WITH HIM DIDN'T MEAN TEMELUCHAS WAS GOING TO STOP. SMALL BLACK BLURS WERE HEADED THEIR WAY. HE SQUINTED HIS EYES, TRYING TO SEE MORE CLEARLY. LEON LIFTED HIS ARM AND CONTEGO STRETCHED FROM A NORMAL SIZED SHIELD TO A WALL OF GOLDEN METAL. THERE WAS A TINKING NOISE AS THE BLURS CONNECTED WITH THE SHIELD. SHE HAD TO HAVE THROWN AT LEAST A DOZEN. HIS ARM FELL AND CONTEGO WAS BACK TO BEING A PENDANT AROUND HIS NECK. XATHANAEL MADE A BREAK FOR THE DOORS AND HE WAS LEFT THERE WITH SAMUEL. "DON'T," HE STARTED WEAKLY, "DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME. JUST -- YOUR FAMILY, YOU NEED TO PROTECT THEM." THERE WAS ONLY ONE PERSON LEON WAS OF USE TO AND THAT PERSON WAS GONE.

HE HAD TO LOOK FOR URIEL. LEON COULD FIND HIS LIFE STREAM BEFORE PASSING ONTO HIS FIRST MORTAL BODY. HE WAS JUST WEIGHING THESE PEOPLE DOWN. "YOU JUST HAVE TO - TO REMEMBER THAT YOU'RE BETTER THAN YOU VIEW YOURSELF. SELF - CONTROL WILL SAVE --" HE WAS INTERRUPTED BY A COUGH, "WILL SAVE YOU."​

After Leon shielded them from a barrage of shots from Lu, Hana made a break for the doors to get Vincent to heal him up. She had to be quick about it, he looked like shit and at this rate, he may end up dead. "DON'T," the dying angel started weakly. "DON'T WORRY ABOUT ME. JUST -- YOUR FAMILY, YOU NEED TO PROTECT THEM."

"Save your breath, dumbass! We're get you healed up real quick, just sit there and wait!" Sam didn't want to hear any of this talk. If he wanted to say something important, it could wait until after the fight was over.

"YOU JUST HAVE TO - TO REMEMBER THAT YOU'RE BETTER THAN YOU VIEW YOURSELF. SELF - CONTROL WILL SAVE --" he was interrupted by a cough. "WILL SAVE YOU."

"Tch! Dumbass!" The moron kept on talking like the stubborn mule he was.

"Keep your composure, the fight is only just beginning. "

"I gotcha, I gotcha." Intense crimson flames coated his blade once more as he walked straight towards Lu. He stood in front of her, hatred boiling inside of him.

"Man, no matter how many times I look at your fucked up face, I can never get used to it." A wry smile crept across his face. "Just looking at it is making me sick to my stomach, so why don't you do me a favor and just burn!" He savagely rushed at her, swinging his blazing sword down on her.

Lu killed a couple of measly demons that thought they would try and attack her. She was delighted to see that Ariel had managed to hurt himself once more. That boy seemed to be a magnet for self destruction, not that she minded in the least bit. When she was done killing the last of the demons advancing on her, she looked back to see Samuel advancing on her once again. Really that man needed to get more hobbies.

"Man, no matter how many times I look at your fucked up face, I can never get used to it." A wry smile crept across his face. "Just looking at it is making me sick to my stomach, so why don't you do me a favor and just burn!" He savagely rushed at her, swinging his blazing sword down on her.

Her onyx sword went up in defense and she kicked her foot out in front of him. "No worries Pet. The feeling is most certainly mutual." Mist shot up and speared towards Samuel as Lu pulled back, breaking the block. "You're going to have to try a lot harder than that Pet. You're fighting an angel whose powers are not restricted." The mist exploded into a smoky wall and she slashed through it, aiming low rather than high. Sam continuously swung his sword down, so going up from the bottom seemed like a better approach.​

Hana ran at full speed into the church. She dodged attack after attack from demons that tried to block her way. She didn't have time for this. They needed Vincent and fast. It would be better to get Ariel inside, but she was a little short - manned at the moment on people to carry him.

The church doors flung open as she dashed inside panting. Hana grabbed the back of a pew to catch her breath. She wheezed for a minute before looking up and pointing as Vincent. ❝ Vin -- hah, hah, -- Vincent ❞ She took in a shuddering breath. ❝ We need your help immediately. Leon - he took a dive for Sam. He's in serious condition. We gotta get him out of the danger zone. Logan, Kai; I need you both to help carry him while Vincent channels Raphael to heal him. ❞ She waved them all over to her aid. Kai grabbed her arm to steady her, but Hana shook him off. She wasn't the one that needed help. ❝ Quickly, ❞ she urged them before heading back out the door.​

Mali stood back a ways and watched as people went back and forth fighting demon and angel alike. She spotted Caius briefly, but everything was a macabre of swords, teeth, and snarls. She wrinkled her nose at the sight, jealous that she couldn't be in the middle of it as well. She still had a job to do and no one was going to stop her. Mali kept her black eyes on the door and watched as the red - haired woman that called Reuben her son ran inside. That was no good. She needed to get inside and the less people that tried to stop her the better.

However, it was only a couple minutes later when she came running back out with three others. Bingo! Now was her chance. She made a bolt for it. Mali pushed herself to run as fast as she physically could. The ones that came out were already around the corner and out of her line of sight. That meant there was no way they could see her either. She pushed one of the doors open, slipping inside. Mali stood at the back of the sanctuary, shocked to see so many people inside. She chuckled nervously for a moment but after a quick look around, she assessed that none of them seemed to radiate power -- excluding Brandon. She threw the three obsidian knives on her person and ran past them to the alter.

It was here. She could feel it during her fights before. It was only a matter of finding the right spot. Mali pulled out a glittering white wand from under her shirt and it transformed into a long glimmering sword. The Righteous Hand of God -- that was her father's title. The Dark Angels had a hard time uncovering this considering that it was a holy sword. Mali wrapped her small fingers around the hilt. There was a faded rune symbol on the floor and she nodded her head once. This was it.

She raised the sword up as high as she could and plunged it down into the center of the rune. "Aperi!" she called as the sword slid through the floor. The rune glowed and the entire building began to shake and crumble.​

She had thought getting inside of the building would be safer compared to being outside where all of the demons and fighting was going on. The sudden shaking of the ground told her otherwise. At this rate, the building would most likely collapse on top of them. Despite all of the danger outside, getting crushed under some rubble would be just as bad if not worse. They needed out, and quick. With the amount of training they had gotten, they should be able to hold their own in a fight. Hopefully. Quickly, she grabbed whoever was nearest to her, Sal, and dragged them out along with her as she rushed out the doors. It was a knee-jerk reaction to drag someone along, but she wanted to make sure that as many people as possible could get out of there.

William was tired of the new guy's words. Ever since he was noticed by the silverhaired man the man wouldn't shut up about how he was going to be a great character for his story. Like hell the guy truly cared about his personality, it was obviously because of his body that this happened. Running off to check on the others that were away, William raised an eyebrow upon noticing a certain event involving a certain blond haired girl and the sudden crumbling of the church.

"What the?"

"Well this took an interesting turn of events...shall we leave my friends?"

"STOP BEING SO FUCKING CALM, EVERYBODY LETS GET OUT OF HERE NOW!"
William yelled as he rushed forward along with the idiot that was named Lucius. He needed to help the others, but at this rate that was something impossible. Running towards what looked like a dazed girl that he recalled was named June,he grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the church along with Lucius who was nonchalantly skipping behind William.

Allen had spent most of his time inside chatting with Nuriel while playing around with his sword, which he'd turned into a ring for hitman reborn reasons. He knew full well that there was fighting going on outside, but didn't quite feel up to going out and entering the fray. Though upon seeing some bits of the ceiling fall from up above, he had little choice but to change his tune.With all of the others inside the building leaving, Allen wasted little time getting to his feet and ran out of the church.

Min braced herself with then pew when the sanctuary shook. She could barely stay standing. The girl at the front fell through the opening in the floor. Her green eyes were wide as she watched what happened. The sword was just levitating in the air and a glowing light emitted from below it. She pulled her gaze from the alter to see others fleeing the building. Min grabbed Brandon by the elbow and gave him a tug. ⌠We need to go too!⌡ she shouted through all the chaos.

She stumbled into the aisle, holding Brandon by the arm. They ran past falling debris for the door. Min glanced back over her shoulder, but the girl was still missing. What happened to her?

They pushed outside and spilled onto the ground in the middle of the battlefield. It didn't seem to be deterred by the falling church in any way.​

When the building was shaking, Lauren quickly ran into the room she knew Alice was in and woke her up and forced her to run. Along the way she came across Tiia who was running around looking for Sven. At this point Alice was awake and told her that Tiia just needed to get outside.

When the three ran out, Sven followed quickly behind. Tiia stared at the building and spoke out loud, "Guys. Isn't this building getting destroyed a really bad thing?"​

The doors of the church were flung open as a panting Hana came rushing in. She grabbed the back of a pew for support as she caught her breath. After a wheezing for a moment, she looked up and pointed directly at Vincent. ❝ Vin -- hah, hah, -- Vincent ❞ She took in a shuddering breath. ❝ We need your help immediately. Leon - he took a dive for Sam. He's in serious condition. We gotta get him out of the danger zone. Logan, Kai; I need you both to help carry him while Vincent channels Raphael to heal him. ❞ She waved them all over to her aid. Kai grabbed her arm to steady her, but Hana shook him off. ❝ Quickly, ❞ she urged them before heading back out the door.

He barely had time to react before they were all rushing out of the church and out into the battlefield. As soon as they got to Leon, he couldn't help but cringe at the sight of him. It looked like he had gotten some pretty bad burns all over, and the color seemed to be draining from his face by the second. He needed to get to work healing him quick. As the others steadied him onto his feet, he placed his hands on him and concentrated on the healing. It took no time at all before he felt his curative powers going to work. Hopefully, nothing major would happen that would interrupt his concentration.

Right on cue, the ground began to shake as the building they were just in began to crumble. As the others rushed out of there, he could only help but wonder what on Earth was going on. Did something happen inside there? He couldn't afford any distractions at the moment. What he needed to do right now was focus on helping the injured angel in front of him. For now, all he could hope was that it was nothing too serious as he continued his healing work.
