MCPASD 4th Grade Orchestra

Welcome to 4th Grade Orchestra!

Orchestra is open to ALL students who are interested and attend 4th Grade in a MCPASD school. Students may choose to play violin, viola, or cello. While we assume students have no prior knowledge of playing their instrument, students with previous experience are welcome to join too!

Orchestra students receive one small group lesson each week during the school day where they learn instrument specific skills specific. Additionally, students are invited to participate in large group orchestra before or after school where all orchestra students from your school learn to play as one ensemble.

Learning to play an instrument is exciting and fun! 4th grade orchestra students share their learning with families in three evening concerts throughout the year. Additionally, students participate in ribbon challenges, learn both new and familiar songs, and play lots of fun games. Students can participate in orchestra in any grade 4th-12th. As students progress through our orchestra program, they will learn more complex and interesting music and have additional trip/performance opportunities. Playing an instrument can even become a lifelong hobby!
