PCSOs on the Tube to be balloted for industrial action
Police community support workers on London Underground are to be balloted for industrial action in a dispute over shifts.
Members of the Transport Salaried Staffs Association are said to be angry over the imposition of new shifts finishing at 1am.
The union said many of the Police Community Support Officers live outside London and will not be able to get home when they finish work. The TSSA wants shifts to finish at midnight.
The result of a ballot for industrial action among members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union on the Night Tube in a dispute over jobs is due later today.
The union says drivers on the new weekend service are being prevented from applying for full-time jobs.
