THE Victorian era will be brought back to life at a themed event this weekend.
Traditional Victorian entertainment, including penny farthing bicycles, vintage stalls and a Punch and Judy show, will be on offer at A Grand Day Out at the Head of Steam railway museum, in Darlington, on Sunday (July 20).
The best of the bygone era will be celebrated at the annual family fun day, which will feature a host of themed attractions including hook a duck, swing boats, a coconut shy, a mini train ride, Bungle the Clown and a Victorian pram and flea circus.
A photo booth will capture Victorian-themed images of the day, and Victorian style and art craft activities will also be on offer.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm.
Admission is £1 per person and includes entry to the museum. Those with annual or family membership get free entry.
