Funny signs make me laugh. It seems they are everywhere if we just look around. I have been in Walgreens hundreds of times. One of my most recent visits to the one in west Loveland made me stop in my tracks. Over by the photo center was door. Presumably, it was a door to a storage space or work area. I know it was not a door to the outside.
Anyway, the sign over the door said NO ENTRY OR EXIT. Hmmm. I guess I don’t know why they put this hole it the wall then. If it said employees only, or not an exit, I would have been okay. Saying it is not an entrance baffled me, since there was no way for me (or anyone else) to use it from the outside. Moreover, isn’t it an entrance for the people who went into it. I don’t think they had any other way out.
I haven’t had time to see if the other Walgreen’s in town have the same sign.

Speaking of signs, I bet most of you are like me, negotiating traffic, especially Kansas City drive-home congestion, is much more entertaining when you get behind one of those usually beat up cars of the 90’s. Most often the drivers give the appearance of worn out, overly distraught, left over hippies. Attempting to conclude someone’s radical ideology or twisted theology can easily be accomplished by reading the plethora of bumper stickers. Usually to vile to repeat or not worth remembering, but always offering a false sense of cathartic humor, this one was undoubtedly my favorite. A lady, probably early 40’s, driving an old 4 door Chevy S-Car, arrogantly displayed this most confusing, convoluted sign. On the left side of her lower beat up bumper, one could read “Pro-Choice and Proud!” Then the right bumper reading, “I Break for Animals!” Go figure! This person needs some serious counsel.

There’s a sign near CSU where I work that always catches my eye. It’s at the bottom of a long, steady hill climb for the many bikers who use this side road. It is yellow and very official looking. It reads
“U
can do it.”
I have no idea who put it up and I’m not exactl y sure, but it makes me laugh every time I go by (once a day). I think it’s encouragment for the many walkers and bikers, but I,m not sure!!!
