Understanding the dynamics of how a real estate Agents’ interests are aligned is paramount in getting a fair transaction. We have to do a better job or raising “Agent Awareness” and simplifying the transaction process. How he gets paid, what his opportunity costs are for spending time with you, his bonuses for in-house sales and his level of expertise with legal/zoning laws can really surprise you. I am not an agent and seriously considering selling my place myself next time, all I need is the comps off the MLS and I’ll feel comfortable.
