Offers tips on how to have conversations with family about the challenging and uncomfortable topics of going to the doctor, deciding when to stop driving, and planning ahead for home safety. 

Presenter is Jenn Workman, OTD, OTR/L, an instructor at Cape Fear Community College who holds an Occupational Therapy Doctorate.

Caregiver Academy is a new community partnership between the Alzheimer’s Association, Cape Fear Area Agency on Aging and Life Care Memory Partners (Lower Cape Fear LifeCare). The Caregiver Academy is focused on providing education and support to caregivers of people living with Alzheimer’s Disease and other related dementias in New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender and Columbus counties.
