After pushing back the wedding twice (so worth it though, as they were welcoming their darling daughter Maxwell and adorable son Ace, who are now 2 and 1) Jessica Simpson and Eric Johnson are finally officially married!

The pair tied the knot at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, Calif., (yep, same place as Melissa Etheridge and Linda Wallem!) on July 5. According to E! News, they exchanged traditional vows under a canopy at the luxe estate with a lavish rose garden as the backdrop.

And the ceremony sounds like it was filled with sweet and sentimental emotion. E! News reports, “When the 34-year-old groom began to recite his vows, he choked up and had to start over again. And, according to sources, Jessica was just as nervous when she said hers. In fact, she was so overwhelmed that instead of addressing Eric, she said her own name! Luckily, she laughed it off and started over again.” We love it when a couple is truly themselves at the altar!

The blushing bride looked classic in a cathedral-length veil and a custom champagne-and-gold strapless Carolina Herrera wedding dress, tucking a ribbon inside as her “something blue.” Her bridal accessories included Brian Atwood shoes and Neil Lane jewelry. Her sophisticated beauty look was a half-up hairstyle and romantic makeup palette, as seen here in her bridal portrait that People magazine just revealed on their Instagram.

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the venue's garden followed by a reception that featured a live band and gourmet three-course meal.
