4 more newly classified Dragoonian Pokémon! (Also post number 200! :D)

dragoonian_vanilluxe_by_steffenka-db4uvd4.jpg

Dragoonian Vanilluxe
Ice/Dragon
Ability: Mold Breaker/Snow Warning
HA: Weak Armor

When a Vanillish evolves into a Dragoonian Vanilluxe, it's attitude instantly changes, and they go from relatively calm to incredibly hostile within a fingersnap. Both Vanillite and Vanillish are afraid of the snow on their heads melting, however Dragoonian Vanilluxe has seemingly lost this fear, as it has appeared plenty of times without the snow on its head. Why regular Vanilluxe have two heads and Dragoonian Vanilluxe doesn't is currently unknown.

dragoonian_grotle_turtwig_by_steffenka-db4uvcr.jpg

Dragoonian Turtwig & Dragoonian Grotle
Ground/Dragon
Ability: Iron Barbs
HA: Strong Jaw

Despite there being a major difference between Sinnohan Turtwig and Grotle, and Dragoonian Turtwig and Grotle, they still have enough similarities to safely be considered the same species - unlike certain other Dragoonian variants. The Dragoonian Turtwig and Grotle can often be found in small flocks in the grasslands, where they can curl up into balls and roll around catching prey. They tend to avoid Dragoonian Torterra, since these have been observed to eat almost everything around them.

dragoonian_torterra_by_steffenka-db4uvd0.jpg

Dragoonian Torterra
Dragon/Ground
Ability: Iron Barbs
HA: Strong Jaw

Dragoonian Torterra are among the top predators on Dragoonian Island, and they aren't afraid to fight for their meal. They stand still in grassland, waiting for Pokémon like Skiddo, Dragoonian Cubone or even Dragoonian Turtwig or Grotle to walk by. Once in reach, they attack with a surprising speed. Scientists have observed fully grown male Gogoat fight against Dragoonian Torterra in order to impress their herd - a battle that, if they lose, they'll get eaten afterwards. Recently a scientist went missing, and all his colleagues found was a shoe, next to footprints that resembled a Dragoonian Torterra.

Even more Dragoonian Pokémon are being discovered! :D

dragoonian_butterfree_by_steffenka-db51r11.jpg

Dragoonian Butterfree
Bug/Dragon
Ability: Shield Dust
HA: Tinted Lens

While the attitude of Butterfree hasn't changed, the Dragoonian Butterfree still has made adaptations to Dragoon Island. They have longer arms with claws to defend themselves, and their wings now look like dragons, in order to scare smaller predators away. Unlike Kantonian Butterfree, the Dragoonian Butterfree actually prefers to walk on the ground instead of flying, however it can still fly away, albeit a little clumsy, if it needs to.

dragoonian_bounsweet_and_co__by_steffenka-db51r13.jpg

Dragoonian Bounsweet, Dragoonian Steenee & Dragoonian Tsareena
Grass/Dragon
Ability (Bounsweet & Steenee): Rough Skin/Leaf Guard
Ability (Tsareena): Rough Skin/Queenly Majesty
HA: Unnerve

Unlike their regular counterparts, Dragoonian Bounsweet have no fear, and will bravely take up fights against predators. Their scent is more bitter than sweet, and has an unnerving effect on humans and some Pokémon.

Dragoonian Steenee are much more aggressive than their Alolan counterparts. They attack by smashing their calyx on opponents, or by spinning at high speeds, causing the spikes on their 'dress' to rotate at high speeds, and crashing into their opponents. When around other Pokémon, they apparently tend to think higher of themselves, as if they are more royal than the other.

Alolan Tsareena are known for fighting with their legs, and while Dragoonian Tsareena do the same, it has a hidden trick up its sleeve. It can control the calyx on its head, wrapping it around opponents, and then smashing them into the ground, or into the air to kick it with its powerful legs. Their unnerving smell, causes smaller Pokémon to flee in fear, and as such, only the most powerful of Pokémon dare to attack this royal Pokémon.

4 new Dragoonian Pokémon have been discovered!

dragoonian_pawniard_and_bisharp_by_steffenka-db5b76i.png

Dragoonian Pawniard & Dragoonian Bisharp
Steel/Dragon
Ability: Tough Claws/Inner Focus
HA: Overcoat

Both Dragoonian Pawniard and Bisharp are feared predators on Dragoon Island, and are often called Dragon slayers. They can be found both individually and in packs, however an individual Pawniard or Bisharp, is much more dangerous than a pack. This is because, when a Pawniard or Bisharp is out on its own, it's out hunting food for the pack, and will ruthlessly attack anything that even remotely looks like a Dragon-type Pokémon. They are also among the few Pokémon Dragoonian Florges aren't preying on, due to their Steel-typing.

dragoonian_cubone_and_marowak_by_steffenka-db5b761.png

Dragoonian Cubone & Dragoonian Marowak
Ground/Dragon
Ability: Rock Head/Lightning Rod
HA: Intimidate

Like Kantonian Cubone, the Dragoonian Cubone wears its mothers skull, upon her death, however unlike Kantonian Marowak, the Dragoonian Marowak outgrows the skull upon evolving. The skull is now used to protect Dragoonian Marowak's neck, however it is often removed and used as a sharp-edged boomerang. Both Dragoonian Cubone and Marowak are much faster than their Kantonian counterparts, due to their developed legs, and they can often be encountered running around various grasslands.

Dragoonian Bisharp looks amazing! The thought of Marowak outgrowing it's skull is also very interesting

The Pawniard also looks like a Grass Viking.
:p
Well, I'm glad you think so, since that's what it's based of :p
And also thank you @TheNyanCatXD for watching on DeviantArt! :D

Here's the next few Dragoonian Pokémon:

dragoonian_comfey_by_steffenka-db5mqv7.png

Dragoonian Comfey
Fairy/Dragon
Ability: Triage/Natural Cure
HA: Symbiosis

Dragoonian Comfey can be found in the jungles of Dragoon Island. Despite it's Dragon-typing, it's one of the kindest Pokémon you'll find on Dragoon Island, and the scientists were pleasantly surprised when it was discovered, because it did not attack them on first sight. Instead, it let the scientists study the flowers growing on its crest, and assisted them in creating juice out of the nectar. All in all, the scientists concluded that Dragoonian Comfey, is a bigger and more draconic version of the Alolan Comfey.

dragoonian_helioptile__heliolisk_by_steffenka-db5mqv2.png

Dragoonian Helioptile & Dragoonian Heliolisk
Electric/Dragon
Ability (Helioptile): Rough Skin/Dry Skin
Ability (Heliolisk): Airborn*/Dry Skin
HA: Lightning Rod
*Airborn: Powers up Flying-type moves by 50%

Dragoonian Helioptile is still very much like Kalosian Helioptile in that they bathe in sunlight, however due to the loss of their frills, they now generate electricity through their tail. They are however able to expand the spikes on their chin, should they be in a dangerous situation.

Dragoonian Heliolisk are able to glide through air by using their patagium, which also functions as a sunlight absorber, along with their tail. Despite it gliding around most of the time, it still lets the electricity go through its muscles, which is why it has enormous strenght in its legs and tail, and is why it, like Kalosian Heliolisk, can run 100 yards in 5 seconds.

Transforming the main features of these Pokemon into something new in these Dragoonian species are really quite neat! The frill of Heliolisk is instantly recognisable as the new wings, which combined with those neck spikes, remind me a bit of a vampire, actually. :p

I don't know why, but that Dragoonian Helioptile reminds me of the Gordons from the Legend of Zelda. :p They both look cool though, I've always been a fan of really cool-looking mons. And that Comfey is amazing, and I absolutely love it's description as well! Great job on these three especially! :D

3 new Dragoonian Pokémon have been discovered!

dragoonian_liepard_by_steffenka-db5vuga.png

Dragoonian Liepard
Dark/Dragon
Ability: Long Reach
HA: Prankster

Due to their long necks, Dragoonian Liepard have also been called "Liekans", however Dragoonian Liepard have nothing in common with the Kantonian Ekans, other than their long necks. They can be found in the jungles catching Flying-Pokémon, like Dragoonian Fletchling, with a swing and a bite. Dragoonian Liepard is a definitely a sight, and the scientist who discovered it, thought he had been near Amoonguss spores for too long, and that he was hallucinating, however, when his colleagues started talking about it too, he started noting down details.

dragoonian_florges_by_steffenka-db5vug1.png

Dragoonian Florges
Fairy/Dragon
Ability: Levitate
HA: Flower Veil

When @Professor Palutena first discovered this Dragoonian variant, he quickly noted down "the flower dragon", before running back to the headquaters to report his find. Quickly after, a team of scientists, including the professor, went out on an expedition to learn more about the Dragoonian Florges, and discovered that only white flower Dragoonian Florges exist. This is likely due to only white Flabébé having being introduced to the island long ago, however scientists attempted introducing Flabébé of other colours to see what happened, and suddenly Dragoonian Florges of all colours were found. The Dragoonian Florges is among the top predators on Dragoon Island, due to their Fairy typing, and very rarely do they lose a battle.

dragoonian_reuniclus_by_steffenka-db5vufy.png

Dragoonian Reuniclus
Psychic/Dragon
Ability: Overcoat/Tough Claws
HA: Regenerator

This sure was an odd found. Up until recently, neither Solosis nor Duosion had been seen on Dragoon Island, let alone a Reuniclus. However, when a scientist stumbled upon a Solosis, he caught it, let it evolve and *boom* Dragoonian Reuniclus was discovered. After the Duosion had evolved, the Reuniclus was released and went back to its home. The scientists followed it in hopes of finding more Reuniclus, however they lost sight of the Reuniclus near a forest lake. In hopes of finding a shiny Dragoonian Bruxish that had been seen, one scientist walked to the lake and discovered that apparently the Reuniclus live underwater. It has since been discovered that they only emerge to lay eggs, and as the eggs hatch, the Solosis search for water to be near once it evolves.

3 more new Dragoonian Pokémon discovered!

dragoonian_lycanroc_by_steffenka-db646fk.png

Dragoonian Lycanroc
Rock/Dragon
Ability: Keen Eye/Sturdy
HA: Aura Break

Somehow Rockruff, found on Dragoon Island, managed to develop a symbiotic relationship with Zygarde, with Zygarde training Rockruff, and Rockruff protecting Zygarde from stronger enemies, as well as searching for Zygarde Cells. When Rockruff has gathered enough Zygarde Cells, and Zygarde can change into it's Zygarde 10% Forme, Zygarde learn Rockruff a special move - one of the five Core moves.

Upon evolving, the Dragoonian Lycanroc live in packs of 5, with each having a different Core move. Sometimes these packs are lead by a Zygarde 10% Forme, however when it falls apart, the Lycanroc with Core Enforcer becomes the leader. The Dragoonian Lycanroc are not hostile, but will attack when provoked, or if their Rockruff are in danger. A scientist brought in both Alolan Lycanroc, and noticed that the Midday Lycanroc was more likely to be accepted in a pack than the Midnight Lycanroc. Why this is, is currently unknown.

dragoonian_salandit_by_steffenka-db646gi.png

Dragoonian Salandit
Dragon/Water
Ability: Swift Swim
HA: Corrosion

Nobody are really sure why Salandit and Salazzle adapted to an underwater life on Dragoon Island, but in the process they managed to become one of the top marine predators in the island. Dragoonian Salandit can often be found near coral reefs, and despite the loss of their Poison-type, they still use Poison-type moves when hunting prey. Scientists tried mating Dragoonian and Alolan Salandit, with a result that ended with highly aggressive offspring of various typings.

dragoonian_salazzle_by_steffenka-db646ga.png

Dragoonian Salazzle
Dragon/Water
Ability: Swift Swim
HA: Corrosion

Like their Alolan cousins, only female Dragoonian Salazzle have been found. Despite their bulky body and size, their surprisingly swift and agile movement in the water, has been the end of many Dragoonian Pokémon. They can even leap out of the water in order to catch prey. They can release pheromones in the water surrounding them, which attracts an abundance of male Salandit, of which they only choose to mate with the strongest.

A new line of Dragoonian Pokémon have been discovered!

dragoonian_magby_by_steffenka-db6eai1.png

Dragoonian Magby
Fire/Dragon
Ability: Flame Body
HA: Flash Fire

The Dragoonian Magby line is the family of Dragoonian variations that is currently being debated over. This is due to the huge difference in the appearance of a regular Magby and a Dragoonian Magby. Because of this difference some scientists have the opinion that the Dragoonian variety are a different, but related, species of Pokémon, however the genetics show that they share most of the same genes. Meanwhile Dragoonian Magby can be found on savannahs eating plants and playing with eachother.

dragoonian_magmar_by_steffenka-db6eah8.png

Dragoonian Magmar
Fire/Dragon
Ability: Flame Body
HA: Flash Fire

The Dragoonian Magmar is very different compared to the mainland variant in appearance. They are naturally docile creatures, found eating plants and roots, however when startled they raise their body temperature to more than 600 degrees Fahrenheit. They live in packs lead by a couple of Magmortar, and chase predators away with their burning hot claws.

dragoonian_magmortar_by_steffenka-db6eagr.png

Dragoonian Magmortar
Fire/Dragon
Ability: Flame Body
HA: Mega Launcher

The cannons found on its body, can launch flames that burns for more than 48 hours. Therefore scientists are very careful not to upset them, since they don't want to be in a living nightmare. Very rarely have Dragoonian Magmortar been found in water, however it is discussed that it is obtaining water so that it can use the move Water Pulse. Like their pre-evolutions, Dragoonian Magmortar can often be found eaten leaves, roots and other plant material, though they have been spotted melting rocks and slurping up the hot melted material.

A very special Dragoonian variant has been discovered!

dragoonian_darkrai_by_steffenka-db7008i.png

Dragoonian Darkrai
Dark/Dragon
Ability: Bad Dreams

A lot of the scientists in the research camps, started to, very suddenly, have horrible nightmares, which resulted in less sleep and worse research. In order to figure out the source, a group of researchers went out to see if they could find a reason behind this. They went out at midnight to immidiately see a huge shadow stand in front of them. Once they saw the blue eyes, they knew: It had to be a Darkrai.

Last time a Darkrai had been seen by most of the scientists, was during the Lily of the Valley Conference in Sinnoh, where a trainer named Tobias, somehow had acquired one. This time though, it had a very different appearance. It was an enormous 30 feet long, and once it saw the researches it took off, with a big flap with its wings.

Since that day, it hasn't been seen, however it dropped a single scale while flying off, and it has since been used to confirm both specie and typing. It is assumed that Dragoonian Darkrai's ability is Bad Dreams, due to the nightmares, however this has yet to be confirmed.

Small update, including the artworks for the first few cards in the collaboration between me and @Jabberwock, along with a couple of Dragoonian variants! :)

dragoonian_yanmega_by_steffenka-db7mbve.png

Dragoonian Yanmega
Bug/Dragon
Ability: Speed Boost/Mold Breaker
HA: Marvel Scale

Dragoonian Yanmega, are similar to their mainland counterparts in apperance, but that's about it. While still being able to bite apart foes, while flying at high speed, they prefer hunting with their strong claws. Despite their aggressive behaviour, Dragoonian Yanmega are kept nearby. This is due to their scales, that, when combined with water, creates a dulming effect on burns - which there are a lot of on Dragoonian Island.

dragoonian_clauncher_and_clawitzer_by_steffenka-db7mbv2.png

Dragoonian Clauncher & Dragoonian Clawitzer
Water/Dragon
Ability: Tough Claws
HA (Clauncher): Skill Link
HA (Clawitzer): Mega Launcher

Both Clauncher and Clawitzer are very different in combat style, compared to their Kalosian counterparts. The Dragoonian Clauncher and Clawitzer are much better at physical combat, however they are able to fire off water projectiles if needed. They are found in rivers, where they feed upon algae found in mud. Their antannae help them with searching for food and sensing enemies, as well as feelers when the surrounding waters are cloudy.

And here are a few artworks from the set:

Here's a couple of new Dragoonian Pokémon, along with some more artworks! :D

oricorio___pyramu_by_steffenka-db8jl17.png

Oricorio - Pyramu Style
Dragon/Flying
Ability: Dancer
HA: N/A

Oricorio found on Dragoon Island, only eat nectar from one specific flower species. It is often thought that the dances Oricorio recreate, are the ones the ancient inhabitants of Dragoon Island danced. This is due to them being on cave paintings. They seemingly appeared to have a godlike status, with them often being depicted next to, what appears to be, leaders of the ancient tribes.

dragoonian_tangrowth_by_steffenka-db8jl0q.png

Dragoonian Tangrowth
Grass/Dragon
Ability: Unnerve/Regenerator
HA: Long Reach

Tangela found on Dragoon Island do not evolve into Tangrowth after learning Ancient Power, but instead after learning Dragon Hammer. Dragoonian Tangrowth are docile, but intimidating creatures. They can often be found slithering in the Dragoonian jungles, feeding on berries and other fruits. Apparently their vines never stop growing, which have resulted in scientists being able to determine the age of a Dragoonian Tangrowth, by the length of their vines.

You just nailed it with Mega Gyarados! I love it. I am very interested in how it, and other pieces of art you made, would look like with shading. I'm not talking about any complicated stuff, just going over with the crayon (or whatever is that it's called that you use) on the edges to create the effect of light coming from the side. I hope I explained it right.
