The University of Alaska Anchorage Athletic Department has released its 2015-16 season-ticket information for hockey, gymnastics, volleyball, and men's and women's basketball, including a revamped seating structure for Sullivan Arena, expansion of the popular Spirit's SeaPups Club, and new All-Sport combo packages.
Season tickets for all sports go on sale June 1, with current season-ticket holders receiving their renewals via regular mail in early June.
“Just as Seawolf Athletics is dedicated to our student-athletes, our dedication to improving fan experience is very important to us,” said Chris Gerace, UAA Manager of Season Tickets/Development Assistant. “We listened to the suggestions of Seawolves fans and supporters, and are excited to announce some of the changes for the 2015-16 season. For hockey games, a bigger 'wet' section will be introduced, as well as $10 tickets at the door. The SeaPups program will also be expanded to include all sporting events at the Alaska Airlines Center.”
Along with the upcoming renovations to the Sullivan Arena, Seawolf Hockey fans can take advantage of reduced ticket prices and multiple new deals this year, including:
*$10 tickets at the door
*8 games for $65 with purchase of punch card (restrictions apply/see website for details)
*Expansion of the 'wet' section
For the first time, UAA season-ticket holders can also combine their packages to include all five sports for as low as $550 – representing a savings of over $400. A sport package for UAA's regular-season Alaska Airlines Center sporting events (not including the GCI Great Alaska Shootout) can be purchased for as low as $320. A men's and women's basketball package is available for as low as $230, or single-sport passes at the AAC for even less.
Also new at the Alaska Airlines Center in 2015-16 will be the addition of Spirit's SeaPups Club for volleyball, basketball and gymnastics. Instituted for hockey last season, this program for kids 12-and-under includes a highly discounted season pass, special SeaPups 'game-day' credentials, a special seating section, along with access to Seawolf team members and coaches.
SeaPups season memberships are available for $30 for hockey, $60 for the Alaska Airlines Center, or $75 for all sports – a cost of just over $1 per game.
For the second straight year, UAA will also hold its 'pick-a-seat' events for all sports – Aug. 11 for volleyball, Aug. 25 for hockey (tentative, based on Sullivan Arena remodel progress), Sept. 15 for the GCI Great Alaska Shootout, and Sept. 22 for men's and women's regular-season basketball.
