she went to the barn and was pisst and hurt cause she had been chasing him for 10 years and she was done with it,she decided she was going to take his advise, she loaded every thing in the trailer and then put in her horse, and closed it up and scared tango her horse then went around the side of the trailer to get in the truck, and Ryan was standing there and ask where the hell are you going we don`t leave till to nite you must ride she said i `m out i all ready told them i`m out,now you can tell Zack,

she went to stay with her friend Heather and try to find a different job,she told her about a job at the crazy cow girl, and she wanted the job, doing waitress and dancing it paid a thousand dollars a week ,she didn`t like the way she had to dress but she needed the job,so here goes nothing.
Zack and the family was really pissed and told him he had to go bring her home that it was his fault,so he had to go and find he that she went to her friends Heathers house, and mom gave him the address and he should go get her,and don`t come back with out her,
when he got here the man at the apt. told him where to find twyla and heather,he parked in the parking lot and didn`t like the looks of the place, then when he went to go inside he herd men wooping and then he saw her on the bar dancing, she was srounded by men trying to get at her,the dance was rel sexy he couldn`t take it any more he had to leave,he tryed to talk to her and the bouncer threw him out and told him not to com back.Twyla was up set that he was there, and she thinks teddy broke his nose, but he kept trying to talk to her he even came to he apt.and that wasn`t good.

- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2017Book 2 in the Cowboy Way
We are introduced to Twyla Taylor who has had a crush on her brother's best friend. Ryan Easter, the best friend, knows the Bro rule, leave little sisters alone, so he did even though he was attracted to Twyla Ryan flaunted women in front of her in order to keep Twyla away.
After spending 10 years nursing her crush, she decides to move away. Ryan decides that he needs to let Twyla know how he feels. He knows he may lose his best friend, but he can't lose Twyla.
Another great love story with some steamy hot scene's. Don't miss this one.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2017Twyla has been in love with Ryan half her life. Ryan has had a hard life. His mother chose her husband her beat her over him and kicked him out of her life. He moved in with the Taylors. Ryan has loved Twyla forever but he stays away because he can't be with her that way. She is supposed to be his sister. Twyla is tired of watching Ryan throw his life away on buckle bunnies and decides to move on with her life.
Twyla goes to Dallas to live with her friend. Heather gets her a job at the Cowboy Crazy as a waitress and a dancer. Ryan finds her there. He tries to stop her. They end up together, but when Ryan tries to tell her how to live, she throws him out. He goes back to the rodeo. Twyla ends up in the hospital. She has been roofied. Heather tells her family what she has been doing and the family blame Ryan for not telling them.
Ryan receives a call that his mom is in the hospital. Twyla goes with him. She has passed by the time they get there. Ryan then finds out he has a sister. Now he needs to figure out how to raise Mary, keep Twyla and hope that the Taylor's forgive him.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 17, 2023Something just felt a little off. The reaction to her dancing in a bar was way over the top. She wasn't stripping but it is repeatedly said that she is. She's 26 not 18 and she's treated like she's young and immature by her family and she allows it for way too long. Ryan's treatment of her is unkind and demeaning several times yet he supposedly loves her. To top it off, he calls her by her dancer name as though it's cute but acts like she was dancing naked and sleeping around. The undertones felt very judgemental and unloving. She's fighting to live her dream and in the end that just suddenly changes without an explanation. She loves Ryan, I get it, but there's no epilogue to explain how things end up and no explanation for why she has no money. She was saving up and should have had quite a bit saved. This story needed more love and understanding and a lot less judgement.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2014Once again Becky McGraw has written a book I could not put down until I finished.
Twyla and Ryan are perfect for each other, Twyla has loved him ten years the only problem is he treats her like a little sister or makes her mad. Ryan has feelings for Twyla but first she's his best friends sister and second he doesn't feel like he can do a lasting relationship and that is what Twyla deserves. So Twyla gives up and leaves, before too long though Ryan has to follow and make sure she's okay. What he finds makes him want to protect her and get her to at least give up the job she has taken. The problem is he goes about it all wrong and makes her angry.
I actually liked Ryan right from the beginning and kind of felt sorry for him because you could see he was fighting his feelings right from the beginning. Yes he does a few things wrong but so did Twyla. I liked Twylaf but sometimes she frustrated me with how destructive her behavior could be.
Their story made me laugh, cry and sometimes want reach in and slap almost every person in the story at some point or another. I had to read from start to finish to see how and if everyone worked things out. Becky McGraw has a real talent for drawing you into her characters and into their stories. She is and probably will always be one author I read her books without a doubt that she will write a good story and that it will never disappoint me.

I loved this book about two stubborn characters Ryan and Twyla who fight against their feelings about each other and family loyalties that get in the way. Twyla's rebellion against being told what to do and Ryan trying to do what's right without the family and his best friend knowing what Twyla's doing and getting it wrong. This book has you all emotionally tied up. Total recommend this book and give it 5*****. Can't wait for the next in the series.

Omg! What a heartbreak, but beautiful story.. Ryan finds a family with his best friend, when things at home reach breaking point.. There's just one problem, Twyla!! He's been in love with her for ten years, and she's in love with him... But nothing can happen as Ryan doesn't want to lose the only family he has... I must admit, I cried reading this... I felt both their pain and prayed they would work it out....
