Teen Mindful Self-Compassion Middle School Program

The Teen Mindful Self- Compassion Summer Experience  is a week long session based on the Making Friends With Yourself Program.  Teens will have the opportunity to incorporate mindful self–compassion into daily activities which include meditation, journal writing, art, yoga, improv games, and nature walks. Each day, students will engage in small group discussions to share their experiences. Mindfulness teaches students to be present with their emotions, and self-compassion helps them respond to these emotions with greater kindness and self-care.  Through developmentally appropriate activities and meditations, teens will learn specific tools which can help them navigate the emotional ups and downs of this life stage with greater ease.
