Product Description

Two terrific treat options in one! Bake yummy donut holes without deep frying or add sticks and frosting for cake pops. With this pan cake pops are very simple to bake and decorate. Some cake pops are made by crumbling up cake and mixing with frosting, then rolling into balls, but the Nordic Ware Cake Pops pan is much less work because the cake is baked into pops for you, no messy rolling required. Our two-piece pan allows the batter to rise up and fill the top half of the pan, creating a nicely rounded solid piece of cake or brownie. Cake or Brownie pops are chic enough to serve at a party, and fun enough to keep kids entertained for hours as a baking project. Kit includes a 2-piece pan with locking tabs, recipes and 24 sticks. Made in the USA.

Some other cake pop recipes have you rolling dough in your hands and all sorts of messiness but when I saw this pan, I thought why not try. Then, since, I already had one pan and refilling it was a mess because you have to clean it after each use, I bought another pan to make it easier next year. Love how it handled though, the recipe was easy to follow and everyone loved the flavor. I did alter the amount of peppermint I added because it calls for 1 tablespoon which I thought would be too much. So, I did 1 tsp. peppermint and 2 tsp. vanilla [since 1 tbsp. is equivalent to 3 tsp.] and, it was plenty, pepperminty. I used fruit leathers for the wraps and bought other candies for nose and eyes but the hat was the hardest. My problem was I didn't have any mini oreo's and had to cut the big ones down.

I have used it 3 times now. These are the things I have learnt:

1) Grease before use. Use butter, butter/flour, or cooking spray. Top and bottom.
2) Wash, dry, and grease between batches, or your cakes will stick.
3) I've used 2 different recipes and I've had to fill past 1/2 for the cake to cook into a perfect sphere. The holes in the tops are nice for spill overs, and also for using a toothpick to test done-ness of your cakes. (Mine have needed about 10 min)
4) Do not use cookie sheet under the cake pan. Simply place a sheet of aluminum foil to catch over flow if it's your first time using it, and you aren't sure how much batter to use.

I've been handwashing mine, not using the dish washer. The pretty blue paint has chipped off a little bit on the bottoms of the cake rounds but this does not impact the performance of this cake pan. The cakes come out easily if you grease the pan, with little Saturn rings around them that peel off really easily.

I did not use this pan for cake pops. I used them to make multi-colored cake balls that I baked into a bigger cake, so that when you cut the big cake open you have polka dots. It's a great effect that everybody loves. I have no complaints about this cake pan. I love it, and my 2 year old loves the little cake balls that come out of it.

I read a lot of the reviews posted for this product. It seems to me that there is not a single product on Amazon where someone has not found a fault with it. The first batch of pops I made were a modified carrot cake recipe that I wanted to trial for my wife's birthday coming up. I separated the pan right away after removing it from the oven and it came apart clean. However, the pops did stay in place in the (1) half. I had to knock on the back of the pan to get them to "pop" out, no pun intended. I noticed that where the pan comes together creating that Saturn ring what seemed to hold them in there. I'm not sure if it was the sugar that caramelized on the pan due to the thin amount of material there. I tried a second batch and sprayed the one half with aerosol spray which helped them release as soon as I pulled them apart. I believe that this will take some pan preparation by greasing the pan before the next go round with a different batter. The pan cleans up well too. I had no issues with batter gluing itself on.

I love this pan except for the high price and the fact that when you first try to remove the silver clips it is way too hard. Had to get pliers to get them out. I opened the opening a little with a flat screw driver and it worked perfect. Tried to do more cake balls with a cheaper pan. Boy am I sorry. Wasted that money, but I do love this pan. It's just a little too expensive for what you get. It only make 12 at a time. Need a bigger pan or reduce the price more so we can buy two. Hint Hint!

Follow the directions and you will
Have nice ale pops. We had to file off the ring around the middle created where the pans come together but it was done easily by scraping on the back side of a wire basket strainer over a bowl, to catch the crumbs.

I got this pan because I was tired of rolling cake balls by hand. This pan is supposedly nonstick-coated but make no mistake, it is NOT non-stick! It needs to be greased AND floured in order for the cake balls to come out cleanly. It works best to use shortening instead of cooking spray and, again- don't forget to flour it or the cake balls will break apart when you open the pan. Then you have to wash the pan, dry it, grease it, and flour it again. Also it would be much easier to wash if it was actually non stick. Rather a pain when my goal was to reduce the hassle of making these. I just ordered an actual nonstick Teflon-coated pan to try that, I'll try it in a few days and update my comments at that time.

On the plus side, the cake balls did turn out nicely, used normal cake batter according to directions, and they tasted quite yummy. Many did not last long enough to be dipped in the coating.

The men in my house loved the brownies I made in my Nordic Ware Cake Pops Baking Pans! The recipe on the box was ok, but we liked the brownies better. I also made baked pumpkin donuts in my cake pops pans & they were good too. Used a cooking spray with flour added, so no sticking & only had to spray the cake pops pans once even when refilling several times; easy clean up too. I filled the cake pops pan with a heaping scoop in the bottom pan & had no run over & had no real problem with a ridge in the center. Remeber the batter needs to be on the stiff side, not runny to heap it, that's why brownies work well in the cake pop pans. I plan to try muffin or quick bread type recipes in my cake pop pans soon. The best thing is they are completly made right here in the USA. I would recomend buying more than one, I got two & plan to buy more! Love It!

A very neat little pan, does the same thing as those machines, but fr a fraction of the price! I made a bunch and froze them, when my kids have sleepovers I pull a few from the freezer and set up a decorating station! Fun for the kids, and portion control for the parents!

Like everything I buy on Amazon (.ca and .com), it arrived early!

Also, Form gesucht, gefunden, gekauft.

Ständig ging was daneben.
