The title says it all - we'll be voting for a theme when we feel like it, then the contestants have a week to post their drawings/paintings.
The purpose of this thread is to give an excuse for people to dust off their pencils, pens and drawing boards and do something cool!

General rules: (Important!)
- Anyone can participate, but please, give your work some love, no stick figures or half assed pictures;
- The picture must be done during the time of the contest. The purpose of this thread is to encourage people to produce new stuff, if you have an amazing picture ready that you want to show, post it in the Art Thread instead;
- Posting WIPs is encouraged, even more if you have something to share or ask about technique, or if you need any help - just don't post ready images;
- Be original: copies, pictures with images copy-pasted (even if camouflaged) and photo draw-overs will be declassified. Obviously you are not allowed to post other people's work either;
- Nudity is allowed under certain circumstances, but pornography isn't. So be wary of how you depict naked people.
Submission rules: (Important too!)
- The contestant is allowed to submit one image per contest;
- When finished, submit a link to your image for me by PM, with the subject 2d art competition;
- The image must be at a reasonable size, the bigger side (height or width) with a maximum size of 1000 pixels;
- The deadline will be decided when the theme is chosen, then displayed in the OP in the news section right above;
- Late entries will only be votable if sent a couple of hours past the deadline, and if all the contestants that sent their entries in time agree with allowing it;
- The winner will choose the theme for the next round.
