Since Oklahoma - Federal TitleIID grant monies are funding your participation in this workshop, your school or educational organization will own the equipment provided to you as part of the Celebrate Oklahoma Voices / Oklahoma Digital Centennial Project. Our project advisory council recommends that school districts permit participating teachers to maintain control and use of provided equipment for the duration of their employment with the school district / educational organization. Ultimately, however, it is up to the school district to determine how provided equipment will be used and where it will be located.
Do you agree to the following? *
Participation in all three days of this educational workshop is required. In addition, each participant is expected to CREATE AND SHARE AT LEAST one digital story WITH STUDENTS in the six month period of time following the workshop. Our goal is that you will USE the knowledge and skills you gain in this workshop, and actually help students CREATE digital stories by interviewing local veterans or others in your community. Optionally, you can volunteer to co-teach / facilitate a "Celebrate Oklahoma Voices / Oklahoma Digital Centennial" workshop in your local area for other teachers as well as students, if desired. Participants are NOT required to conduct a local workshop following their session, but are encouraged to do so. Support will be provided in the event you want to host a local workshop! The main thing to understand is that we expect you to CREATE and SHARE at least one digital story made with students following your participation in this workshop.
