Bare-foot Catherine Zeta Jones removes her heels as she negotiates cobblestones

When faced with a tricky cobbled street, most of Hollywood's pampered A-list would simply hail a cab, or summon their chauffeur.

But Swansea-born Catherine Zeta-Jones didn't make a fuss, slipping off her heels to avoid any mishaps as she returned to her villa after dinner in Majorca.

Despite being dolled up to the nines in a designer glittering dress, with matching gold handbag and jewellery, she had no hesitation in going barefoot.

The 39-year-old was accompanied by her husband Michael Douglas, who looked as if the holiday agreed with him. 

The 64-year-old showed off a deep tan in white trousers and a blue shirt, unbuttoned to show a glimpse of his chest.

The couple are unofficial ambassadors for the island and own a luxury house, S´Estaca, near Deià.

They spend part of each summer at the home with their two young children and are often spotted out and about - at the beach, golf course, sailing or at summer concerts in Costa Nord.

Bob Geldof also owns a holiday home on the island, while Sir Richard Branson owns a hotel.
