Hi, my name is Monica Garry-Allen. I’m a writer and lover of all things romantic. I reside in southern Mississippi with my husband. When I’m not listening to the characters in my head and jotting down their adventures, I am busy working as a Clinical Laboratory Technician. I love to travel, preferably with my husband, so he can do all of the driving. I enjoy time with my family, who are just as silly as I am. I have no children…yet, wish me luck! My hobbies are reading, writing and shopping, though I hate trying on clothing. If I wasn’t a writer or a Laboratory Professional, I would probably be a Secret Agent. But that’s the beauty of being a writer; you can create your own world and be whoever you want to be. In my imaginary world, I am the Queen and my siblings are my minions.

It all started with white mice. When Bailey runs to her neighbor, Max, half-naked, in the middle of the night, after being attacked by four white mice, she assumes she is safe from him. She is under the impression the man she’s desperately yearning for is gay and has a lover, Greg. The confusion gets deeper when Greg and Bailey meet and become friends, letting Max think there could be something more between the woman he’s in love with and his baby brother.
Just when the reader thinks all is figured out, things take yet another turn. All I can say is that I enjoyed very much this book, written in Monica Garry-Allen’s unmistakable style, fun and relaxing. It’s a great read for any season, but the magic of the holidays adds even more to it! I am looking forward to the continuation!

I was gifted this as an ARC from a blog tour via the author for an honest review.
I thought the book was fun. Quirky with the white mice!!! You will have to read that bit to follow me on that you be!

Its a great Christmas read. Not a very long book, I read this in a couple of hours.
So, if you want to get into the spirit of Christmas, here's your chance.

My only downside with this book is in the format at the beginning. All the acknowledgements are made etc etc, so while I skimmed through those pages to get to the begin ng of the story, I had missed the first chapter.

I'm afraid it goes right into the story without any page pause. That is only a small thing to mention, but I do like my ebooks to resemble like pages to a paperback. All it needs it some adjustment.

Author has top marks for story though!

** JOSIE'S 4 STAR REVIEW **

I love the holidays. I love everything and anything that has to do with the Holidays and this book was the perfect way to start the season off. Christmas Confusion was funny, quick, entertaining and had some swoon-worthy moments. When I think of the Holidays I think of family, friends and being with the one person I love. The author gives readers some laugh out loud moments and a truly genuine love story. The main characters are enjoyable to read, the plot is unique and fun and the two main characters are a riot.

Bailey is in love with her neighbor Max the problem is she thinks he is gay. While spending time with Gregg and Max she develops a friendship with Gregg and really considers him a good friend. She does not want to ruin the relationship they have because of those feelings for Max, so she does not say a word, after all Gregg and Max are a couple, right? What Bailey does not know is that Gregg and Max are brothers and neither one offer to tell her the truth.

Max is in love with his neighbor. Since he and his brother Gregg are co-owners of the building they leave in he does everything he can think of to be around Bailey. Max becomes frustrated with bailey because she refuses his advances and avoids him like the plague. As the group starts to spend more time together Max starts to notice how well Gregg and Bailey get along. He starts to imagine there is more to their friendship and he becomes jealous and angry.

The title of this novel is Christmas Confusion and that is exactly what this storyline is, confusion. Both Max and Bailey think something that is not true and rather than just come out and say how they feel about each other they stay quiet. The more time that goes by the more the confusion, anger and feelings grow. It is truly funny reading how blatant Bailey is misreading Gregg’s and Max’ relationship while lusting over max. Gregg and Krista (Bailey’s best friend) were so funny they cracked me up. They were and are the prefect support system for the pair. I got frustrated at times with the pair, I wanted to lock them in a room and say you see!! However, I get the authors plot and really enjoyed watching how they eventually got to the truth.

“Bailey and I are not in a relationship.”

“Exactly, but you could be if you would just ask her out.”

“Have you ever dated a woman before?”

“No. Not into them. They’re too soft and mushy.”

Christmas Confusion was a light and funny read that got me into the holiday love spirit. There is very little drama, just the confusion and some pretty funny moments shared between friends. Isn’t that what the Holidays are about? I loved the ending and am looking forward to the next book in the series. We will get to see more of Max and Bailey and Gregg and Krista. I can only imagine the confusion that is going to take place in that book.

Christmas Confusion,
Ok I give this wonderful book 5 stars! If you love a good romantic comedy then this read is for you! There are plenty of laugh out loud moments, and some moments that you just want to beat the characters over the head, and other times you just shake your head at them. When you finish a great book and all you can do is smile at the end you know that it was truly an amazing read!
Meet Bailey Cooper, funny, shy, and bright....well sometimes! Living in a new place that could be better Bailey meets the handsome next door neighbor Max. The first interaction we get from them is hilarious. I really was laughing out loud with this scene. Enter Max's gay brother Greg and it gets even better. You follow these three in what is an amazingly hilarious trip into friendship and true love. The last few chapters get even better when Bailey's BFF, Krista joins into the fun. From crazy moments, to a heartbreaking reaction from Greg and Max's father and oldest brother, to that moment when everything is revealed and problems are solved, and true love wins out, this story hits all of your emotions.
Follow this crazy tale and join in for the fun with Max and Bailey and their ceazy relationship. Get to know Greg and Krista, and the friendship that develops between them all. I honestly fell in love with this story. It's a light hearted story (for the most part) and truely makes you smile. The writing style was fantastic throughout this lovely story. When an author can make you smile, laugh, get angry, and tear up all in the span of one story you know they are truly an amazing writer. I went through all of these emotions, but mostly, I laughed and smiled. This is not a steamy read though foe tjose of you that are looking. So if you are looking for a hot scene your not getting it from this story....though seems you may get it in the following story. So if you want a true love story....look no further. You have found it! I hope that you enjoy this book as much as I did!

Max Davis and his brother, Greg, are renovating an apartment building where they live and they co-own it. Max has fallen in love, at first sight, with their new tenant, Bailey Cooper. Bailey has seen them hug. She sees the love in Max’s eyes when he speaks of Greg. Can she be blamed for believing they are lovers? Max can’t understand why Bailey shies away from all of his advances. He’s never had this problem with women before. Will his charms ever clear their confusion?

I have never played truth-or-dare. I know. I know. What can I say? I really was a nerd in school and never had the opportunity. When Greg, Bailey, and Bailey’s friend Krista played, I was in absolute stitches. I was holding my breath with Max. In fact, all through this book, I was alternating between holding my breath and laughing until my sides hurt.

CHRISTMAS CONFUSION is a quick holiday read. The comedy is perfectly timed. I had to keep stifling myself to not wake the family as I read this book. There is going to be a follow-up book (series?) and I will be first in line to read what happens next!

This was the first time I have read from this author and her writing has swept me away. Christmas Confusion has definitely brought lots of confusion when it comes to Bailey and her thought of Max and Greg. Bailey moves into an apartment building and starts to have feelings for Max BUT she believes that Max is in a relationship with Greg. Talk about a wake up call when she finds out the truth.

I loved this book because all through this book the author made me laugh at the way both Max and Bailey had the whole tension thing but stop can't touch thing going on. As a reader you can see that there is some spark there and I wanted to help Bailey and open her eyes up. The author has given you a whole package in this book because even though for the most part of the book it had me laughing, there were sexual tensions; it also had some heart wrenching moments which just made me want to take the two people (not Max and Bailey) and smack them for the way they think especially since Greg is such a lovable and caring person. Have I made you want to read it yet? When Bailey's best friend comes for a visit they start to have some fun and truths are let out during a game (lets just say you really don't want to play this game).

This author has definitely made me want to continue following her with this story. I would highly recommend this and look forward to reading other novels by her.

You're confused? I'm confused... this whole room is confused! And it's christmas.
4 stars
Hotness factor: a lot of longing, a lot of teasing...

This was my third Christmas story in 4 weeks. It wasn’t about redemption, there was no Christmas-like deadline and I don’t even think there was any caroling… in other words, it would have made a cute romantic comedy.
Bailey has a thing about not letting people finish their sentences. Oh and she’s also a little bit prejudiced, men hugging are gay? Bailey, you just called the entire French male population gay! Max is no better, how about telling the lady you like her instead of just lusting after her like a horny teenager!
Christmas Confusion is sweet and funny. When was the last time you asked someone if they were gay or straight? ... Exactly! Blame it on being politically correct, polite or just afraid of the truth and face their feeling. It ends with the perfect open ending and I just can’t wait for the sequel!
Happy Holiday!

When I first started reading Christmas Confusion I wasn't sure how it would be. It was a little slow in the first chapter. Once I got past that I was really into it. I really liked the characters Bailey and Max.

The whole story starts with Bailey running out of her apartment because she sees white mice. She runs to her only neighbor on their floor and finds him half-naked. Unfortunately Bailey thinks he is gay. Max goes to the apartment and finds out that they are just mice that have been missing from down stairs.

Soon after that Bailey meets Max's brother Greg but doesn't know that they are brothers, she thinks that they are lovers. Bailey and Greg become really good friends and Max thinks that they are together. Little do they know that it is Greg that is the gay one and not Max.

This story was really fun to read. With all of the ups and downs, fun and drama. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to read more from Monica Garry-Allen

I just love Bailey and Max. They're attracted to each other, you could feel it from the beginning, but things are keeping them apart. Both of them tell others how they feel, but they won't talk to each other. They go as far as to avoid speaking whenever possible.

One big thing is Greg, Max's boyfriend, at least that's what Bailey thinks. She and Greg become friends and it drives Max nuts. It's funny to see how vulnerable Max was. He was scared to death to let Bailey know how he truly feels. He was so jealous of Greg that he even took off for a couple days.

Parts of this book were just so funny, especially since the reader understands both sides. My kids kept asking why I was laughing. I kept reading because I needed to know if Max and Bailey were able to work things out in the end. Did they? Not telling LOL. You'll have to read to find out.

"Christmas Confusion" is the story of Max and Bailey. I have to say, Bailey is the queen of misunderstanding! She has so many misconceptions about Max, it's quite funny. And Max is under the impression that she wants his brother. Between the two of them, there are many chuckles and a bit of frustration - As the reader, and knowing exactly what was going on, I just wanted to shake them both at times!! LOL I loved how Greg, Max's brother, and Krista, Bailey's BFF, work to bring them together. This is a fun and light Christmas story. It's short so it's a nice quick read during the busy time of the holiday season. I'm looking forward to the second book of the series and can only imagine the confusing situations that might happen then! :o) (According to a note at the end, there will be a second book for Max and Bailey, however, this can be read as a standalone and, in my opinion, is not really cliffhanger). This was so funny! I laughed so many times that my husband and kids looked at me funny!

Bailey ~ K, first off I want to know how and when she assumed Max was gay and that Greg was his lover? I mean he never gave her that vibe he gave her the I want you now vibe! And omg……she was just so dumb when it came down to her being told Max was NOT gay! But past that she was a funny and down to earth type girl!

Max ~ I felt for him throughout the whole book. Cause here he is in love with Bailey and can't figure out why she isn't interested in him! He was definitely more patient then any man I know! But in the end it was funny how it all came out!

Overall its a great holiday read!

When a young adult woman moves into her very first apartment alone, and that apartment has a few things less than perfect about it, who can she turn to when she hears noises in the night? Or rather at 4am, with no friends or family living close, not that she wanted to wait for anyone to come to her rescue?
She has seen but not really met her only third floor neighbor but what better time to introduce herself?
Shaking, screaming, and pounding on his door, and not dressed exacty at her best.

This romantic comedy of errors is sweet and funny and FULL of misconceptions and double entendres.
The characters are likeable, and although seem educated, have their share of bumbling and misunderstanding.
I am glad to hear there is a continuation of the story in the works.
I have a feeling the Lake Teresa apartments could be home to many characters we'd like to get to know.

When the book has ended, don't miss the interviews with each of the main characters at the back.

Christmas Confusion is a good lighthearted read, perfect for the holiday season.

Bailey and Max are just too funny. Both need to learn to communicate just a bit more so there's not as many misunderstandings.

The writing was smooth, and easy to read, making the lighthearted story even more fun.

It's certainly got an interesting plot, enough to keep readers attention and I enjoyed the characters as well, not just Bailey and Max.

The only thing I hold against Christmas Confusion is that the two characters seem to have almost rushed into their relationship and engagement. It's not too big of a thing but that just made the book a little less amazing in my eyes.

So if you're looking for a good , and amusing read over the Christmas holidays than certainly give Christmas Confusion a chance.
