Session Type: Invited Session
The world is changing. Young people today are growing up in a technology-enabled, highly networked world, where new knowledge is being created at a pace unknown to previous generations. This digital age presents new challenges and opportunities for the field of education. In this session, learn about a number of promising innovations that are taking advantage of the affordances of the digital age to transform learning, and engage with the innovators of these new tools and approaches to hear about how they are reimagining learning for the digital age. This two-hour session will begin with brief, 90-second introductions about each of the innovations, followed by a panel discussion about the potential of digital media and new technologies to transform learning. The second half of the session will be an open symposium where conference attendees will be invited to view demonstrations and engage with the innovators one-on-one.
