It was one year ago that former US Marine Brandon Raub began speaking out regularly about 9/11 Truth. Last year’s number 22 was an impromptu addition to the countdown as it represents the police state premium placed on 9/11 truth.

This list had to be amended with the recent detainment of Former US Marine Brandon Raub, who served as a Marine in Iraq and Afghanistan from 2005 to 2011, for 9/11 Truth FACEBOOK POSTS. This case is a troubling development as it signals a new phase of the information war. On Thursday, August 16, Brandon Raub was questioned at his home by the FBI, Secret Service and Virginia’s Chesterfield County PD about the recent posts because they had supposedly received complaints about the “threatening” nature of his 9/11 posts. Brandon Raub was then handcuffed, transported to and held over the weekend in the psychiatric ward at the John Randolph Medical Center. After a hearing on Monday the 20th held at the hospital in which government officials dismissed Raub’s explanation that the Facebook posts were being interpreted out of context, Raub was sentenced to “up to 30 days’ further confinement in a VA psych ward”, according to Business Insider. Lawyers who represented Raub said “government officials again pointed to Raub’s Facebook posts as the sole reason for their concern and for his continued incarceration”, in a released statement.

How is this possible? For those of you familiar with the 2011 NDAA provision on indefinite detention, that was not the case here. However, the state of Virginia provides for “emergency custody”

Local PD originally said they were simply assisting the feds, but then some how he ends up in State of Virginia custody.

Chesterfield Police assisted federal authorities in their efforts to interview Brandon J. Raub on Thursday, Aug. 16. After speaking to Raub, officers believed him to be in need of further evaluation.

Chesterfield officers at the scene contacted Chesterfield Mental Health Crisis Intervention. Crisis workers recommended that police take Raub into custody and bring him in for evaluation.

Chesterfield police took Raub into custody for evaluation in accordance with Virginia State Code § 37.2-808 Emergency custody.

Raub was placed in handcuffs after he resisted officers’ attempts to take him into custody.

Raub was evaluated by a Chesterfield mental health official, who determined that he should be held under a temporary [detention] order and transported to John Randolph Medical Center for additional evaluation.

Raub was not arrested and he faces no criminal charges in Chesterfield.

For him to not be “arrested”, but confined for 72+ hours with no recourse is ridiculous. He was also reported to “resist” his arrest, er, protective emergency custody, evidenced by the welt on his back. To mince words over someone’s personal liberty is a travesty, but beyond that, the reason for Raub to even be questioned, is reprehensible.

Brandon Raub’s recent posts are largely rhetorical in nature, but hint at the truth, such as “AND THEY WILL SAY HE SAID IT TO THE NSA FIRST.” on August 16 and “Feelin like Pac all Eyes on me.” on August 15 and “The Revolution will come for me. Men will be at my door soon to pick me up to lead it. ” on August 14.

A post on August 12 said: “There has been an overwhelming amount of evil enacted and planned against you, your children, and your countrymen. It is great in scope. Your government evil. It is as simple as that. And the calvary is coming.”

In the 11 years since the 9/11 attacks, free speech rights have been on a wild ride and no topic has pushed the extremes quite like the events of that day. The emotions still run deep for many people who, we would venture to guess, are less likely to question the official account. An alarming trend in the chilling of free speech rights has really gone global as the gelling international police state removes the velvet glove to reveal a pronounced iron fist. The Arab Spring has produced many riots and revolts, most have been brutally crushed, a trend continuing today in Yemen, Bahrain, Qatar and other places.

The spectrum in America has been wider and more pronounced as our free speech rights have had further to fall. That’s arguably due to the mental perception of American freedom compared to the actual reality, but plethora of legal loose ends being tied up really tells the story. Among them are HR 347, which essentially gives wider latitude to arrest and charge protesters with a crime for protesting near an individual protected by the Secret Service. Safety is one thing, but that bill strikes directly at the most outspoken, those who will actually lobby their representative.

What’s clear is that the precedent has been set for targeting those awakened to 9/11 Truth and the other things covered at this website.

The Virginia statute justifying Raub’s detention

The code of Virginia statute states “any magistrate shall issue, upon the sworn petition of any responsible person, treating physician, or upon his own motion, an emergency custody order when he has probable cause to believe that any person (i) has a mental illness and that there exists a substantial likelihood that, as a result of mental illness, the person will, in the near future, (a) cause serious physical harm to himself or others as evidenced by recent behavior causing, attempting, or threatening harm and other relevant information, if any, or (b) suffer serious harm due to his lack of capacity to protect himself from harm or to provide for his basic human needs, (ii) is in need of hospitalization or treatment, and (iii) is unwilling to volunteer or incapable of volunteering for hospitalization or treatment.”
