Forever and Almost Always Kindle Edition
We found each other by chance and it was perfect, easy and everything I could have asked for. Our love was one for the books. When he moved next door, my entire world flipped upside down and inside out, but it was the best feeling I had ever experienced. Until the time came to choose between him and my family. I was young and in love, but in the end, I chose my family. I’ve regretted that decision since the day I made it. Now fate has given me a second chance with the one person I knew I was always supposed to be with. But this time so much more was standing in our way.
Can I choose him over the life I’ve come to know?
Will he be able to forgive me and give us a second chance?
Is true love really enough to conquer everything standing in our way?
Sometimes the hardest decisions in life, are the most liberating, I just hope that this time I made the right one.

About the author

Amanda Bennett writes in a variety of genres including steamy contemporary and small town romance, coming of age, erotica, and suspenseful/thriller. A strong independent woman herself, she loves to showcase a woman's toughness through her main heroins, all while keeping you guessing and hitting you with a few surprises here and there.
Originally from Arizona, Amanda currently resides in Utah with her husband and two awesome kids. She is an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and dedicates every Sunday to watching her team play. She loves to wind down by watching reality TV (Housewives for the win!), and spending all the time she can with her kids and husband. She is also a huge advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.
Losing her father at the age of twelve sparked a passion deep inside of her, prompting her to connect with others through her love of writing and storytelling. Early into her writing career she found a unique way to connect with others through their shared traumas, most of which she sprinkles throughout her stories.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love isn't always perfect
Verified PurchaseI am a huge fan of Amanda Bennett's writing and for me Forever and Almost Always did not disappoint, it was the type of book I needed right now. There are twists and turns and some angst along the way but not enough to make me want to pull my hair out, ok who am I kidding yes I wanted to pull my hair out. I loved both these characters Dax and Charlee go through the ups and downs of two young people deeply in love.
Charlee's days are all the same hanging with her best friend Taylor, sunbaking and swimming, her life is pretty cruisey. That is all about to change with not one but two good looking neighbours moving in next door, make that one every good looking man that she is smitten for yet hasn't met. Heading out the back to cool off for a swim a head pops up over the fence, there he is the gorgeous new neighbour Dax.
Dax oh my Dax the way he is described yep he's my ideal man in the looks department (I love Paul Walker) he is just as smitten with Charlee too. I'm still swooning over Dax.
When Charlee and Dax finally get together sparks fly, these two have some hot chemistry. They have the perfect relationship, everything has just clicked into place. Their relationship is moving forward and with Dax having to move out of his place they decide to move in together. A twist throws their relationship through a hoop, from here it was like waiting for a car accident to happen, knowing its going to happen but not sure when. Dax and Charlee's relationship seems to be moving slow but also fast at the same time.
With all the highs in their relationship the lows hit them and hit them hard, is their love for one another strong enough to get them through life's highs and lows? Is there relationship and love a forever kind of love or will life's challenges tear them apart? Do Charlee and Dax have a Forever kind of love or will they love each other almost always...?
Once I started this book I didn't want to put it down, I was hooked. Dax and Charlee have the kind of love that is rare and not something everybody experiences.
Another amazing book by Amanda Bennett!

3.0 out of 5 stars Not the best...
Verified PurchaseI'm not sure how to rate this book. I found the book felt really rushed and I mean the book not the story. It felt like the author just wrote it, maybe read over it once and hit publish. There were things that just didn't add up. For example it says that Charlee is 20 and Dax is 19 then it says they are two years apart? Also after 10 years had passed Charlee says to Taylor I can't believe you have a 10 year old, but 10 years earlier in the story Taylor's daughter was talking quite well so she was a minimum 2years old which doesn't add up. These are small things but bother me lots as I'm someone who is always taking note of timelines etc I don't understand how stuff like wasn't picked up by anyone if I picked it up through one read? Not sure if this has editor, beta reads etc??
I found the characters really immature and a little over the top which probably wasn't so much a problem in the first half of the story but when your reading about them 10 years later and they haven't changed at all it's just off putting! 10 years later and no one in the friendship group had changed at all, seriously only Dax had moved forward with someone and it was someone from the past anyway. There was also so much time spent in the past we didn't get much of a look at them in the present and see more of them resolving their problems and falling in love again. The whole story felt wham, bam than you ma'am and just felt so immature.
In saying all of the above I read this story in half a day as it was an easy read and didn't take any effort to keep reading. I also cried and felt throughout the story with the characters so it definitely pulled at my emotions and drew me in.
This story had a lot of potential but I just felt it could've been done so much better!!

2.0 out of 5 stars wow how confusing??
Was great up until around half way through and then it was just confusing.. In the beggining it said 12 yrs earlier and then half way though it says present day and from there it just went down hill for me.. For one., I really didn't see why the author actually decided to make the story happen like this , it just seemed so pointless!? 12 yrs before her friend had a lil girl who was around 2 or 3 and yet in the present Charlie says she can't believe her friend has a ten yr old daughter already???? Loved all the authors previous books but for me I would def not recommend. Sorry :(
