I read this in early 2015 and have not had the chance to leave a review. The book was full of suspenseful surprises. The pace was steady and the characters were well developed. I thoroughly enjoyed this read.

First, the cover art is what drew me to the book. Very nice. Second, there is everything here except the kitchen sink. There were monsters of all sorts as well as heroes. I liked each story to varying degrees. I found some of the stories to be extremely short when they would have been much better expanded to novellas or at least worked out more. Perhaps these were the author's earliest attempts and were included in this collection. In any case, the author has an imagination I envy and hope to read more by him in the future.
