Men Of Laguna #3

Hollywood Prince

Rate this book
Brooklyn James should know better.
Born into Hollywood royalty, the brooding prince has a reputation as being a player. A manwhore. A womanizer.
Adoring fans are his thing.
His best friend’s little sister is not.
Even thinking about her the way he is isn’t cool.
Not cool at all.
And yet every time she pouts those sexy lips at him, she turns him inside out. Makes him harder than he’s ever been. Drives him to the brink of insanity.

Amelia Waters has always idolized her big brother, and the last thing she wants to do is disappoint him.
Falling for her brother's ex-roommate is off-limits.
She knows this, but she can’t help herself.
The way Brooklyn looks at her with those smoldering blue eyes makes her wet in an instant. Turns her into a shivering, shaking mess of sexual frustration. And soon the idea of spreading her legs for him is the only thing she can think about.

She wants him.
He wants her.

When they finally decide to give in to their insane attraction, they agree it will remain between them. That their illicit affair will be short-term. No strings. No baggage. No messy ending.

But when the first night of mind-blowing sex leads to another, and another still, how long can the endless hookups go on before Amelia’s brother finds out? Or worse yet, before feelings develop?

Brooklyn and Amelia know they need to walk away from each other before either of those things happens.

The problem is doing it.

Talk about a mess.

Hollywood Prince is a sexy, standalone, contemporary romance about a bad boy and the off-limits girl who steals his heart.

Amelia Waters is looking for her "happily ever after" and if that means kissing a few frogs along the way it's a small price to pay. That's how she finds herself at a club on New Year's Eve meeting a blind date her friend set her up with.

Amelia and Logan hit if off, but when she learns some disturbing information about her family she is on the next plane out to California to confront her brother. Once there she runs into Hollywood Price and bad boy Brooklyn James. Also known as her brothers BFF.

Sparks fly between Amelia and Brooklyn and they decide to throw caution to the wind and start a secret affair. No strings, no baggage, no messy ending. But good intentions don't always go as planned and soon things start to get complicated. Can Amelia and Brook find their HEA or does Amelia's destiny lie back in NY with good guy Logan??

This was one of those books that puts a smile on your face from page one and keeps it firmly in place for the entirety of the story. The writing was fantastic. The characters were likable. The sexual tension was off the charts. The sex scenes were hot. It was sweet. It was romantic. It had a bit of angst, and it had a heart melting epilogue.

Honestly, I don't know what else to say about it. I simply loved every chapter, every page, every sentence, and every word of this one. Two HUGE thumbs up from yours truly.

Finding one prince is an accomplishment, finding two is a nightmare. Who will she choose?

I haven't seen a series name, but I recognize characters from previous books. I enjoyed the reunion with Cam and Makalaya. And, guess what? Yup, Cam is Amelia's brother. And...Cam is Brooklyn's best friend. So, when the sparks fly between Brooklyn and Amelia, he tries to resist. He tries to keep Cam's baby sister in the friend zone. It's too late to make a good impression on her big brother. His history with star struck groupies has been well covered by the media. His manwhore reputation is public knowledge. He's not the best candidate for someone searching for a prince. But that doesn't stop him from wanting a kiss. Is he a lost cause? Is he even capable of changing his froggish ways? Will she stick with the prince that seems to be perfect for her, or will she take a chance on the Hollywood Prince that makes her want to toss her tiara and be bad?

Kim Karr knows exactly what keeps her readers coming back for more, and she delivers. Hollywood Prince is a sweet story that made me giggle and sigh. I was mentally encouraging Amelia to be bad, and to never turn back. Who wants a perfect prince when you can have a bad boy that feels good? I was cheering for #TeamBrooklyn every step of the way.

As mentioned previously, I don't know that this is part of a series, but there are interconnected characters in No Pants Required, Bedwrecker, and Hollywood Prince. Each can be read as a standalone. I really enjoyed Amelia's best friend and hope that I get more Carter in the future. The line forms here...

Review at Of Pens and Pages

Amelia Waters is on the lookout for her Prince Charming. Having grown up as the only daughter in the Waters family, she is treated like a delicate princess, and for a long time, she let them do it. Now that she's might have found Mr. Right in ballplayer Landon Reese, she wakes up after midnight to see that her life is not as perfect as she thought it to be.

Before she could go on and see if Mr. Right really is Mr. Right, she flies to California to confront her brother, Cam Waters, about their family and the secrets they've been hiding from her. Instead, she finds herself outside her brother's house, soaked in the rain. He's nowhere to be seen, and he's not answering his calls.

Brooklyn James is Hollywood royalty but he's no Prince Charming. With high profile parents and a successful reality show under his belt, he's had his fair share of fame and everything that goes along with it–women, booze, paparazzi. After having his opened to what fame can do to ruin one's life (a perfect example is his father's), he stays away from the limelight and lives off royalties from his old show and from his job as a lifeguard.

Brooklyn spots a drunken and soaked Amelia by the doorway of his best friend's house, and he realizes she's no longer the girl who forced him to marry her when they were ten, no longer the girl who knighted her as Sir Towhead. She's a woman through and through, even if she does still believe in finding her prince. She wants to stop being the good girl she's always been, and if she needs something bad, he'll be it.

If you've read No Pants Required and Bedwrecker, then you'll see a lot of familiar names in Hollywood Prince. Told in dual POVs, we see two people who are perfect for each other but don't even know it until it's almost too late.

Kim Karr is amazing at writing sizzling chemistry and sexual tension between her protagonists. Brooklyn and Amelia have an instant connection you can't help but root for, especially given their backgrounds. This forbidden romance has a bit of a second chance feel to it that made me giggle in my seat.

As much as I loved the sexual tension and the budding relationship between Brooklyn and Amelia, I hated that Amelia didn't fully cut off Landon when she started her FWB relationship with Brooklyn. I loved Amelia most of the time, but I really disliked her in those moments she was stringing along a decent bloke who didn't deserve it.

Other than that, I was swooning over two with their hot as sin sex scenes and adorable moments as they worked on Brooklyn's script or acted so in sync with each other. And that epilogue? I was grinning throughout!

Hollywood Prince is a lovely forbidden, second chance romance where the princess finds that her Prince Charming was right there all along.

Hollywood Prince can most definitely be read as a standalone, but it does have characters from other stories. I read No Pants Required (Camden and Makayla) last summer, so when I was reading Hollywood Prince, I was actually really excited to see that Amelia is Cam's sister and we got to experience the group together again. Everything started coming back for me but Kim Karr does a fantastic job of filling in any necessary information, so you can easily read one without the other (though they're both really good. ;) ). And I also saw Bedwrecker, which I didn't even realize happened and it's Maggie's story! I'll have to go back and read that one.
"Sometimes in the dark of the night we see what we want, wish for things that can never be, have hope we shouldn’t."

Brooklyn was a fantastic and complex hero. He was sweet but brooding, protective and loyal, tender but also an alpha and swoony where he needed to be. And hello dirty talker! This combination is seriously my kryptonite, this guy had me on my knees. To describe Brooklyn in simply one word: yum.

Amelia was such a refreshing heroine, I really enjoyed her! She knew what she wanted out of life and was always realistic about it. Plus she never had any big 'woe is me' meltdowns which was fantastic. Whenever something happened, she demanded the truth before reacting. I love love loved how is story started/revolved around her finding her Prince Charming. I like a girl who knows what she wants! It means she knows herself. Even better though was that while she knew what she wanted, she was never going to settle for less.

"This isn’t a love triangle; it never was. It’s simply about choices.
This one.
Or that one.
Mr. Right, or Mr. Oh-So-Wrong."

As much as I loved the characters, the story line was pretty fantastic too. It wasn't just about Amelia trying to find her Prince; there were plenty of other issues - namely her parents and her job (loved how much maturity she showed when she dealt with all of this) - that needed to be addressed. And Brooklyn too, he had things going on that he was working towards. Nothing dark and depressing, no one was abused or drugged or beaten or any of that in which you seem to find in every book these days, just plain, real life issues in which everyone can struggle with throughout their lives. The character growth was phenomenal and how they grew not only as a couple, but individually as well.

I'm a huge romantic and everyone in my life seems to know it. That little fact here makes Hollywood Prince my PERFECT kind of story! It was so cute and fun and amazing, plus it had some angsty bits which I love. In relation to the reconciliation between main characters in this story, some people might call this cliche, but this is the stuff I live for! I would DIE if this every happened to me. Seriously. My heart would just exploded from all of the feels. I was SO FREAKING HAPPY and swooning and smiling and ugh. There were just too many feels all at once, I loved it. This is the kind of moment that girls like me dream about. And just think of it this way: I'm the type who loves romcoms and cheesy movies and those TV movies which always seem to be awesome. The more romantic, the better. If that sounds like you, read this book! Brooklyn gets it! It truly was picture perfect or in the case, movie perfect.

“Stop being a pussy and go get the girl. Shit, you write movies for a living—don’t you want to know how this ends?”
Standing on my feet, I shrug out of his hold, and then grin at him. “Yeah, motherfucker, I do.”
“Then tell me,” Keen demands, with amusement in his tone.
“The only way it can. With me getting the girl,”

Honestly the relationship between these two, their banter and their reactions to each other is all so stinking cute it makes my heart so happy. And on a side note, you know, for whoever is curious, this story is HOT HOT HOT. With a little extra hotness thrown in for some good measure. It's detailed and different and a whole bunch of goodness rolled up together.

There's a very.. interesting... scene set in a strip club. Now I've read a few books with strip club scenes so I didn't expect anything special but OMG this one was by far my favourite. It was hot but so not what you expect, and Brooklyn definitely gets the MVP gold star in this situation. Excellent job.

Three parting words: That epilogue, though! This has got to be one of my favourite epilogues ever. SO FREAKING CUTE! I was swooning all over the place and could hardly contain my excitement. I floved it. I love the flow of Kim's stories and how they just feel so effortless. Do yourself a favour and pick up a copy of Hollywood Prince (or even better, start with No Pants Required!) and just forget reality for a few hours with this heartwarming love story. A fun loving and refreshing romance that reminds you why you love to read this genre. A standing ovation for Brooklyn, Amelia, and Ms. Karr!

"Some fairy tales start with you kissing a frog, and then another, and another, too. Some start with you going in search of your Prince Charming, and hoping like hell that you find him. And some fairy tales start with you stumbling upon Mr. Oh-So-Wrong, who was actually your Hollywood Prince all along.
You just didn’t know it.
But you do now.
And isn’t that the best ending a princess could ever ask for?
I think so."

Hollywood Prince was another amazing romance by Kim Karr.

We already met pantydropper Brooklyn in the previous books. He lives in southern California, is working a dead-end job as a life-guard, but he wants to be a screenwriter in Hollywood.

And then we have Amelia, the sister of Brooklyn’s best buddy Cam. She’s looking for her Mr. Right and not her Mr. Wrong-California. But they’re both so horrible attracted to each other. Only Brooklyn is not looking for forever yet, right? But this girl could make him change his ways. Only, he’s not the only one after her. There’s her Mr. Right back in NYC. The baseball playing good guy. Grrr.

I really enjoyed this story. It was adorable and funny and so very sexy!!!
Not everything is all happy and fun though. The reason we’re in California in the first place is because we’re looking for family-answers. Answers only a big brother knows….

I loved it!
Nothing to complain about! Great story, great cast, great locations.

The only negative thing I could say about it… I almost stopped reading after the preface. I HATE love-triangles. And this book was not a love-triangle. But the preface made it appear like it was and it almost stopped me from reading the book. In Kim's place, I just would’ve started the book with chapter 1 – without the preface. It’s not love-triangle, but I still felt bad for the not-chosen guy in the end. Maybe he’ll get his own book, just like I want Amelia’s gay best friend to get his own book. But next up is Chase – he’s Brooklyn’s buddy from his surfing TV-show days.

HOLLYWOOD PRINCE was an amazingly adorable & sexy romance! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Brooklyn – this one is MINE!

Two Princes, One Princess

I loved Hollywood Prince. I swooned, laughed, fell in love with the characters, My favourite of this series.

Brooklyn is the sinful badboy, the nicknamed panty-dropper, he's had his life in Hollywood, mingled with the rich and famous, had the model girlfriends and now by choice he's a lifeguard. I was looking forward to Brooklyn's story and Kim Karr did not disappoint.

Amelia is the younger sister of Cam, who is also the best friend to Brooklyn. Amelia has spent her days looking for her prince only to kiss a bucket full of toads so when she finally meets someone who could possibly be her prince on New years Eve, it's taken away all to quickly by some disturbing news she needs to see Cam about.

Amelia flies out emotional and upset to see her brother Cam with a promise to return Landon's call, the man she has only just met but with the hope based of the undeniable spark between them.

When Amelia arrives Cam is away for the weekend but Brooklyn who lives next door finds her drunk on his porch and takes her in.

Forbidden fruit, Brooklyn, brothers best friend, the boy to man she has had and has the hots for but his reputation proceeds him.

This plot left me giddy, I loved it, I loved the sneaking around so Cam wouldn't find out and I loved the fact that it could go one way or another with Landon's persistence, the oh so Mr Wrong and Oh so Mr Right.

Amelia is a great character, she's a girl who watches porn with her gay best friend, both characters have Witt and Brooklyn definitely has the charm, both brilliant characters and so HOT together.

There's a fine line between just sex and more and Amelia had a choice to make.

Another great read by Kim Karr.

5 FAIRYTALE CROWNS

This whole series of standalones (I'm not really sure it counts as a series, but it centers around the same group of people) has quickly turned me into a huge fan of Kim Karr. Her stories are fun and entertaining, and the chemistry between her characters absolutely sizzles.

Hollywood Prince follows the story of Brooklyn and Amelia, and the chemistry between the is off the charts. What I love most though is that the chemistry is natural between the two of them. It is never forced, and it is ALWAYS electric. From the moment readers meet Brooklyn, he is everything a bad boy should be. Hot as sin and a player, but he is also more. Underneath the bad boy is a man who wants to be more. He wants to be better. He wants want his friends have found, and Amelia is just the girl to give it to him. She is his impetus to make changes, to become a better version of himself. There are moments of uncertainty, moments when he doubts it all, and it hurts to see. He, like every good hero, gets it together, but not before he breaks your heart a little bit. His counterpart, Amelia is much more complicated character in terms of how I felt about her. In the beginning of the story, she is naive and is
shielded from the "bad" in her life. When her pretty world is blown up she flees to find answers. At the beginning of the story, I wasn't sure I was going to love her, but I did. Her world being destroyed set her down a path to self-discovery. Once her blindfold has been removed, she begins to make amends for her mistakes and to make changes for herself. Part of doing what makes her happy is getting involved with Brooklyn, and just as she helps him better himself, he helps her do the same. Truly, this couple and their relationship make the entire book!

The plot of this story follows the typical trope. There aren't any surprises or plot twists, but that did not in any way deter my love of this book. It is light and fun, pure entertainment at its best. I adore the characters and their story, and I absolutely swooned over the ending. Kim Karr certainly delivers the fairytale ending for her princess and her frog turned prince.

Kim Karr is quickly becoming a go-to author for me when I am looking for a light and fun romance. I have fallen in love with every character and every story she has written, and I am always left with a smile on my face. How can a reader ask for anything more?

My first Kim Karr book was a success! I really enjoyed getting to know these characters and seeing Amelia and Brooklyn together was amazing. I loved the forbidden, sneaking around, aspect to their story and it had me captivated. This is definitely an author I'll be reading again and I can't wait to go back and read more from the secondary characters that were featured.

When I finished reading Bedwrecker, I was excited to see that Keen's brother, Brooklyn, would be getting his own story. I was already charmed by his character and couldn't wait to see what his HEA would look like. Color me delighted when I found out that his love interest was none other than Amelia, Cam's little sister (Cam is from No Pants Required).

Amelia has always dreamed of her very own prince charming. She soon finds herself with quite the dilemma because she's got two of them clamoring for her attention. One seems to have all of the makings of Mr. Right, while the other, the one she is intensely attracted to, a player, a bad boy, seems like Mr. Oh So Wrong. How does one choose? She'll eventually learn to let her heart decide.

I obviously enjoyed this story. Kim Karr has a knack for creating well-developed characters that are not only multi-faceted but extremely easy to like. I haven't met a character of hers yet that I didn't love. However, as much as I enjoyed Amelia (she was a riot), there was something about Brooklyn that really endeared him to me. He was a little lost, not as confidant as he portrayed, and at his core, he was an honest to goodness awesome guy.

I recommend this book to anyone looking for a real, fun and steamy read!

Release Date: January 2, 2017

Two princes. One princess. A choice to make. And perhaps even a happily ever after...

Amelia Waters is looking for her Mr. Right, Prince Charming, and the whole fairy tale. She's had a rough time due to loss and family issues. She has always been the good girl who likes to please her father. She has been working in New York at the family business despite wanting to be a photographer.

On the night she meets Landon Reese, a man who could just be her Mr. Right since he checks all of her boxes, she gets shocking news. And that sends her running off to Laguna Beach to confront her older brother, Cam, to find out the truth. She is tired of being treated like a Princess and wants to be an adult. But Landon is intrigued enough not to fade off into the background.

Brooklyn James rides in on a motorcycle to save a drunk damsel in distress camped out on her brother's doorstep. He is Cam's neighbor and best friend so feels responsible for her since her brother is out of town. Her rescuer is known as the pantydropper or manwhore. He's a hot, brooding, charismatic ex reality T.V. star, current lifeguard, and struggling screen writer. His parents are Hollywood royalty and he has lived in their shadows. He had his T.V. fame, but now is frustrated that his screenwriting is not progressing as he wants. He does not do relationships and is not looking for love.

But Amelia and Brooklyn spark despite it being a bad idea--the best friend's emotional little sister, the time limit, the distance, the different in their relationship views. But Amelia is ready to explore her wild and adventurous side, and he is just who she wants to get dirty with. She's a good girl causing trouble for the bad boy who is caught between right and wrong. He tries to keep her at arm's length. They flirt, fuss, friendzone, but get all mixed up in sexual tension until they can't resist. But they develop rules and time limits to try to be smart about it--sex only, no mess, no sharing, it ends when she leaves, total secret. Uncomplicated, right?

Their chemistry is sizzling and sex scenes are hot! They become quickly addicted to each other, but there are challenges, confusion, fears, and mixed and hidden feelings. Just when one thinks about taking a risk, something happens to set them back. There are no easy answers when both are afraid of what happens when it ends and equally as afraid of what would happen if they continued.

They both have some decisions to make about their lives and future. They were both holding themselves back in some ways. If nothing else, Amelia provided some inspiration to Brooklyn. Amelia has two princes in her life, one could be Mr. Right, one could be Mr. Oh-So-Wrong...but is it all what it seems? And ultimately the choice might not even be up to her, and she could end up alone like she started.

Kissing frogs and determining who are toads and who are princes is not an exact science. Life is complicated, messy, and surprising. There are no easy answers and perfect choices. But Amelia has to figure out where she wants to be and hope that ultimately she finds her happily-ever-after.
We get to spend more time with Cam and Makayla (No Pants Required), Keen and Maggie (Bedwrecker). I love the fact that they made their own pseudo family/friend group. We also met Amelia's best friend, Carter (who I adored) and Brooklyn's friend, Chase. I am interested in more of Chase's story.

This was a slow-burn, off-limits, friends to lovers story. It was also a personal growth journey for the younger two people in this group. It was funny, sweet, smoking hot, and romantic. It brought on some surprises and definite swoons.

Sexy, Sweet, Sassy. This story will have you laughing and loving

Amelia has been looking for a prince in a swamp full of frogs, or should I say a city full of frogs. When she finds out some messed up news about her dad she went running to California to her brother Camden, wondering if her whole life is a lie, but she didn't find big Bro. Oh no, she found none other than reality star Brooklyn James.

Brooklyn James, wants more out of life besides being a lifeguard and being a former reality star. Just when he thinks maybe that's all he will be in life, Amelia shows up and maybe, just maybe there's more to life than being a lifeguard and more to life than sleeping with every woman in Laguna Beach.

I loved Brooklyn and Amelia together. their chemistry was off the charts and they were sexy as hell. The story line was great, light, funny, and a little heavy in all the right places. I really enjoyed this read!!

HOLLYWOOD PRINCE has got to be one of my all time favorites by Kim Karr! It's sexy, smart, and wickedly entertaining! Brooklyn James was EVERYTHING!

"Beg me, Amelia. Call out my name, and I'll make you come like no one ever has."

I mean...COME ON! That was HOT right?!

I could tell you over and over again how much I LOVED Brooklyn's character, but our heroine, Amelia Waters, she was just this sassy ball of sunshine and an absolute PERFECT fit for our hunky Brooklyn. Like a lot of us, she is searching for her Prince Charming but so far has only encountered toads, until one night with Brooklyn James changes everything for her.

Brooklyn has a choice to make. It's the old battle of head vs. heart and the two princes that are vying for her attention, aren't making it easy on her. One one hand, there is the safe route. The prince that makes her feel content and beautiful. On the other hand, there is this explosion of heat when it comes to the other prince. This one sets her body on fire and makes her experience things she never knew she could feel. You might think that this is an easy decision, but it's not. They are both worthy opponents, and it's not all black and white.

"I promise," he says, "that we will live happily ever after."

Everything about this story pulled at the heartstrings. It was cute, sexy, passionate, and full of witty banter. Just like other Kim Karr romances, I couldn't put it down, not even for a second. I was hooked once I felt the insane chemistry pouring off of the pages.

Brooklyn and Amelia's story took a little while to get going for me. I think I was expecting more of a forbidden story, one that took off right away. Instead, what I got was a forbidden story that was crossed with a slower burn friends to lovers story.

I identified with Brooklyn a little more than Amelia, even though they were both in similar places. Amelia was still waiting for a chance to start her dream, and a reveal of info in her life prompted her to start working on that change. Brooklyn was in the midst of pursuing his, but with some hurdles that he needed to work through.

The first part of this book dragged a little bit for me, and I think I was hoping for a little more of the forbidden that was initially presented in the story and not the slower burn friends to lovers romance. That said, once they really started pursuing the relationship, and spending time together with both of them admitting, to themselves at least, that they wanted more, the story picked up for me.

I enjoyed that characters from other books were featured, and I liked the idea that the author treated them as important secondary characters, which they were. And I liked that the series is building on the relationships of not only the characters in the other stories, but the change of their relationships as they get married, get engaged and have children.

I recommend the book.

Happy ever after in Hollywood, well, why can't I believe it fully? lol
I didn't care much for the MCs, they were just ok. The h was cool at the beginning, but a bit naive toward the end. I could totally understand why she kept OM as an possible option. The H was not a commitment material, former manwhore and his doubts during the book made me like OM more.
Maybe I'm just too old to believe in Prince Charming, but I wouldn't put the H in this category.
Overall quite entertaining read. The strip club scene was hot!

You can read Hollywood Prince without reading No Pants Required and Bedwrecker, but why would you want to miss out of the hotness of Cam and Keen?

This is Amelia and Brooklyn's story - if you have read the previous books, you will recognise Cam and Makayla and Keen and Maggie. Cam is Amelia's brother, and Keen is Brooklyn's brothe. Though this is A & B's story, there is plenty of our other lovelies in this book.

I adore a good friends to lovers book, and when the "keeping it secret" thing comes into play, I just adore it even more.

Ms Karr really knows how to keep a girl wanting more. From their first present day encounter to the last word, I just kept turning the pages. I needed to know what was happening with them, I needed them to move on from their sexy times to more more more. And oh did I love their sexy times!

There is just something about these characters that has drawn me right in. I love their banter, their snark, the love between this family they have created.

I am completely enamoured with Amelia's best friend Carter. I want, no I NEED to know more about him. I need him to find his HEA.

Right this minute. Like yesterday. Please Ms Karr!

I can't wait to see where these characters go next.

4.5 Sweet & Sexy Stars!!

“Everything about you is my business.” Game over. Right here. Right now. The way he says those six words, the possessiveness in his tone, the hunger in his eyes–there is no way I wouldn’t give him anything he asks for. No matter how strong I want to appear to be, I’m his for the taking.

There is just something truly special about picking up a Kim Karr novel. When you pick up one of her books, you just know you’re going to go on a fun, thrilling and swoon-worthy ride.

Hollywood Prince is told from dual points of view and follows the story of Brooklyn and Amelia. When it comes to men, Amelia has this idea that you’ve got to kiss a lot of frogs before you find your prince. Every man she dates has to pass a strict test or criteria in the search for finding the one. Her bar is set high, and in her quest for love, she just might find it in the most unlikely of places..Brooklyn is the man that has it all. Money. Fame. Women. He could have anything that he wants at the drop of the hat, but the one woman he wants is totally off limits. Brooklyn tries desperately to fight his attraction to Amelia. But, the more he fights it, the more intense it becomes. Will Brooklyn and Amelia give into to what they both desperately want and need? There is only one way to find out….

There is nothing I love more than a swoon worthy, sexy romance. Add in a bit of a forbidden flare, and I am hooked. This book had it all. It was fun. It was sexy. It had just the right amount of drama and angst.

I loved that Brooklyn was the bad boy with a heart of gold. I loved how strong Amelia was and wasn’t afraid to go after the man she wanted. I loved the forbidden quality to their relationship. The will they, won’t they moments had me begging for more and devouring every single line. I loved the chemistry and the connection Amelia and Brooklyn shared. They were intense and just steamed up the pages.

Hollywood Prince is one of those stories, that once you pick it up, you won’t be able to put it down. It’s one of those contemporary romances that you just want to eat up and can’t get enough of. I fell in love with the story and the characters from the very first page and loved every second of their journey to happily ever after.

Never cared for this plot. I'm from a country/culture that this kind of thing was never a problem. Nobody cares. This siblings bff is just so immature, IMO. If you decide, if anyone decides to date their sibling's bff just be a grown up and be open. The only thing is if the relationship doesn't work you have to deal with the friendship between your sibling and your ex. Other than that, from where I came from, nobody cares.

5 Hollywood stars

Hollywood Prince has to be my favourite book of Kim Karr so far! This book can definitely be read as a standalone but you will certainly recognize a few characters if you've already read Bedwrecker and No Pants Required (hellooooo Keen & Cam).

Amelia Waters (Cam's sister) is still hoping to find her Prince Charming and get her Happy Ever After. She's had a rough time due to her brother's death and family issues. She works for her father's company even though she'd rather be photographer. She doesn't want to disappoint anyone so she stays quiet and does what makes them happy.
However after a quite shocking encounter with her brother's ex on NYE (uhhhh!! you feel the hate yet?), she is DONE being the nice girl everyone expects her to be (YES GIRL!)!

Brooklyn James is Keen's brother and Cam's best friend. His mother is Hollywood royalty and he's writing scripts when he's not busy being a lifeguard. He has spent his life acting as bad boy, therefore has quite a reputation. He wants his mum to be proud of him and considers Cam and all the others as his family.

When Brooklyn meets Amelia, he doesn't recognize her at first and it's fair to say that they're both instantly attracted to each other! Yep, there's some serious sexual attraction between these two! Unfortunately, Brooklyn soon realizes that this gorgeous woman happens to be Cam's sister so he knows she's immediately off-limits .
I loved loved LOVED this kind of forbidden, friends to lovers love story. As I said, the chemistry between Amelia and Brooklyn was off the bloody charts !!!!

Hollywood Prince made me smile, giggle (YES, G.I.G.G.L.E!!!) and swooooon! It was such a bloody sweet, entertaining, HOT story!!! I honestly can't recommend it enough!

Amelia has spent her whole life looking for Mr. Right, her Prince Charming they guy who is going to sweep her off her feet and never let her touch the ground. She has been dreaming about this since she was 10 years old - she has even had her fairytale wedding at 10 to Mr. Not So Right bad boy Brooklyn James. Now with her life not what she thought it was she ends up on her brother's doorstep but with Cam and Makayla out of town she is forced to stay with Brooklyn. Can Mr. Not So Right be the one?

Brooklyn has spent his life being the bad boy - growing up Hollywood royalty he has been skating through life and he knows it. When Amelia shows up on her brother's doorstep needing help he decides to be what he has never been, Prince Charming - that is until her brother finds out about his feeling for Brooklyn. The more time he spends with Amelia the deeper his feelings grow. Can he convince her to take a chance on Mr. Not So Right?

Kim Karr has always written strong alpha male characters who also have insecurities that make them seem human; Brooklyn is all of that and so much more. Ms. Karr writes Brooklyn with honesty, humility and who is generally a really nice guy who is looking out for everyone around him, especially Amelia. Amelia is fun, quirky, beautiful and is so sure of what she wants which in this case can be a good thing or a bad thing. Written in dual POV's, Ms Karr takes her two characters on a journey of discovery that was well written that at times I laughed and other times my heart was breaking for these 2 characters. We do get to see a little more of Cam and Makayla (from No Pants Required) which was great but really this books is all about Brooklyn and Amelia. There is a small introduction to Chase who is friends with Brooklyn that I believe we get to meet again in the future and I can't wait to find out more about his story.

I have to say that I have loved Bedwrecker and No Pants Required but Hollywood Prince by far is my favorite. A perfect book to read up next to the fire with a nice glass of wine - you won't be disappointed!

What happens when you are looking for your Prince Charming ? Two come along at once like buses, but one is Mr Right and the other Mr Wrong, but is he?

When Amelia is on a blind date she gets some unexpected news and leaves New York immediately to go too her brothers in California to get the truth.

So what happens when he's not there, she's rescued by Brooklyn and childhood friend and brothers friends brother following? He lives next door and offers Amelia a place to stay until her brother returns. Brooklyn was a Hollywood Prince once and had his own reality show. So when he's attracted to Amelia he knows her brother won't like it.

When tempted with someone so wrong Amelia wants Brooklyn just as much as he wants her so when they embark of a secret not strings relationship, until Amelia returns to New York, but can it end without being messy?

Of course Brooklyn doesn't feel like he's good enough for Amelia regardless of how she feels or her brother, so will he be willing to take the chance and forget the consequences?

Amelia is torn between two men even though she never really gave Landon, her blind date,a chance, but he seems like he could be Mr Right or is that what she wants after all, does she want her Hollywood Prince Charming?

What I liked about this book was the fact Amelia and Brooklyn tried and failed to set limits and expectations for their relationship and what seemed so wrong might just have been so right.

I have a feeling the other characters we meet will have their own previous books that I will be reading, but each book is a standalone.

I received an arc in return for my honest opinion.

Brooklyn sure appreciates how his woman dresses, "pressing his front to my back, he nips at my earlobe, eliciting a full-body shiver that sends chill bumps racing across my flesh, and whispers, “I am so effing you in this dress when we get home.” I fell in love with Brooklyn, I enjoyed this book.

💝FREE in iBooks store today (5/16/2018)!💝

Blurb:

Another home run for Kim Karr. While Hollywood prince is a standalone, it intertwines with the same characters from two other books and I have been completely enthralled with each one. Not to mention the fun in seeing the other characters I loved so much again. I was so excited to read Brooklyn and Amelia’s book and it was as great as I expected it to be!

Brooklyn…oh my. I’m fanning myself just thinking of his deliciousness. He is loveable and funny, sexy as hell, and completely stole my heart. I think the other books hinted at a change in the playboy, but it wasn’t until Hollywood Prince that the reader truly gets to know him and see that there is a solid, really good guy inside the manwhore shell that everyone sees. His mind might be focused a lot on sex, but it’s with one particular woman in mind and the sexual tension only feeds his tunnel vision. Once Brooklyn and Amelia give in to their desires, Brooklyn’s focus widens to more emotion, to getting to know the woman he wants so desperately. But, he’s still a guy and doesn’t see that if we would simply communicate honestly with Amelia, the heartbreak might be avoidable.

Amelia is a an interesting character. I liked her a lot, but there were times when she drove me so crazy, I was tempted to put the book down (Brooklyn kept me from actually doing it). Her convoluted imaginings of perfect kept her from seeing what was right in front of her face. And, she fell into the guy trap, falling victim to the heartbreak of miscommunication. However, she is witty and fun, and really, all heart. She freaks about some secrets that are revealed, but she comes to terms with them fairly quickly and goes about righting the situation. If only she’d been that clear-headed with Brooklyn.

The heat between these two is outrageous! Their witty banter adds to the sexual tension and then when it finally explodes, it’s like a forest fire, sweeping through and destroying everything in its path. They are a strong match for each other, a balance of good and bad, a little of both coming from each of them. They have a sweetness between them that is every bit as strong as the physical desire and I loved being a part of their story.

The epilogue was spectacular, as I’ve come to love about Kim Karr’s books. I got the warm and fuzzy feeling, the satisfaction that two people had finally achieved their HEA. But, I was left wanting more, only because I was so in love with all of these characters. Like the other books connected to this one, it’s definitely on the reread shelf! 5 Hollywood stars!

If you had a choice would you pick Mr. Goody Two Shoes, or the BAD BOY?

Hollywood Prince by Kim Karr was was fun, sexy, and had two alpha princes pinning after the heroine. Mr. Right and OH SO WRONG! It had the perfect amount of angst that had your heart racing and wondering who would Amelia choose.

"Two Princes.... but only one meant to be mine."

Brooklyn is your Mr. Wrong. He is best friends with Amelia's brother Cam. So he knows that she is off limits. But sparks instantly fly. Their attraction cannot be ignored. He shows her that it's okay to finally break the rules and be bad.

"Am I willing to give up someone who could be my Mr. Right for Mr. Oh So Wrong."

But Amelia is looking for her prince charming..... and Brooklyn is quite the opposite. Being a former Playboy and Hollywood Star. He brings out something that she hasn't felt in a long time. Being free to do what she want's. Not having to look for approval from her parents. A new normal.

The whole strictly forbidden off limits romance was so steamy! I had to fan myself more times then I could count.

Who will Amelia choose?
Read to find out.

Kim Karr's writing flowed beautifully. I just could not get enough of this book. I wish it could never end. I highly recommend reading this book!

5 LET'S WRITE OUR STORY STARS!!!

When I found out that Kim Karr was writing Brooklyn's story I was so excited! When I found out it was Brooklyn and Amelia's story my anticipation was off the hook! I could not wait! I knew it was going to be fun, sexy, sweet and naughty! And forbidden. THEN, when I read the synopsis, oh damn! I knew I was going to be taken on a ride with these two! Let me tell you, I was NOT disappointed!

Once upon a time....

There was a kiss....and a wedding. A make believe wedding that is. But hey, Brooklyn and Amelia were just kids back then and life moved on and they went their separate ways. Years later, they cross paths again and HELLO. BOOM. The sparks were unbelievable. Their attraction to one another was undeniable and unavoidable. But could they start something up? They knew they shouldn't. Amelia is Brooklyn's best friend's little sister. Brooklyn is her brother's best friend. Off limits. Yeah. Right. They couldn't deny each other, although they did try. But could their sexual fling last? Could it turn into something more? Hell yes it could.

Kim Karr brings the heat to the pages with the sexy times between Brooklyn and Amelia. Wowza. There were several scenes that had me fanning myself. And NOT my face. Whew. Talk about full body shivers. I mean...that strip club scene? Holy Jesus. And Hell to the yes. Oh and that kitchen scene though *high fives Kim* Trust me, these two will light your kindle on fire. But they will also melt your heart. It really is a Hollywood Fairy Tale! I adored this story so much!

I loved the friendship that these two had and the struggles they were going through in their personal lives. They really cared for one another and there were several scenes that made my heart flutter and soar. Brooklyn is such a nice guy, despite his reputation as being a player. Amelia wants her real life prince! I just knew it had to be to be him! I really wanted this good guy with a heart of gold to be happy. For them both to be happy!

Hollywood Prince will make you smile, swoon and your heart do all sorts of things! Kim Karr has given us another fantastic romantic comedy with all of the feels that will have you wanting to make your own modern day fairy tale happen!

Review by Lisa Kane

We all want to find that perfect guy. We're all looking for love-the big kind, the kind that will change the world as we know it.

Amelia Waters is hanging out in a swanky New York night club about to meet her blind date. It's the kind of club her late brother Brandon loved. She's met a lot of frogs while waiting to meet her prince. She doesn't have high hopes for this one. But Landon is a hot baseball player and things just might be looking up.

Of course there's always the fly in the ointment and this one's name is Vanessa. She's her brother Cam's ex. Cue the Cruella Deville music. She confronts Amelia in the bathroom, lays down a few bombs and then Boom...leaves a wake of destruction in her path.

Seeing Vanessa with another guy is opening up the closet full of memories I want to keep shut. Reminding me of my reality. That Camden is gone. That Brandon is dead. That my parents are divorced. That I hardly speak to my mother.

Amelia is so upset she gets loaded. Landon makes sure she gets home safely. There's a little spark between these two but Amelia is ready to hop on a plane to California and find out from Cam if Vanessa is telling the truth.

She lands on the doorstep of Brooklyn James, former teen idol. He's her brother's best friend. He picks up the drunken Amelia pieces and tries to put her back together. But a sober Amelia is a force to be reckoned with. A strange kind of friendship forms-Amelia's family always treated her like a Princess, and this girl has been screwed over so many times she wants to try being bad. Brook is just the guy to help with that. Neither one wants to tell Cam wants going on.

Amelia's torn-she's still keeping in touch with Landon-he's a great guy and would love for her to give them a chance. Brooklyn is hot but he's got his reasons for why he's allergic to commitment. Who does she want to be with and is the prince going to turn back into a toad?

Toads.
Frogs.
Princes.
Sometimes it's not easy to tell the difference.
And sometimes it just should be.
Shame on me.

Spent the day with royalty! But cheering for Brooklyn all the way!!

A slow burn that is so charged with sensuality and swoons. It's an easy day fun read. Full of all those sexy and sassy feels. Yet it was emotionally sweet and romantic as well, along with explosive chemistry that doesn't disappoint those looking for a hot read with a solid storyline.

Hollywood Prince is a sexy forbidden romance, with a healthy serving of angst. It can be read as a stand alone, but features characters from the author's previous books, No Pants Required and Bedwrecker.

The story centers around Brooklyn and Amelia and is told from both of their points of view. Brooklyn is the stereotypical manwhore bad boy, who was a TV star as a teenager and comes from a famous Hollywood family. Underneath those layers though, is a man who wants more, but is too afraid to follow his dreams for fear of failure. Amelia is the little sister of Brooklyn's best friend, Camden, and has always been the "good girl" and tried to please her father and family. Her life experiences have been limited because of this and she is eager to shed that Mary Sue image once she learns some truths about her family, specifically her father. Overall, I really liked Brooklyn and Amelia. They had scorching hot chemistry and brought out the best (and sometimes worst) in each other. They make mistakes too, even though the choices are made mostly with the best of intentions. There were lots of sexy and swoony moments between them and I will never think of grabbing an Uber quite the same way again. ;)

There were, however, a few things I could have done without.

The epilogue was so sweet it was practically sticky, but it worked in this tale of big dreams and princes and princesses. It definitely left me grinning ear to ear as I read it. Although I felt the ending was a bit rushed, I really enjoyed Hollywood Prince. It was sexy and fun and came with it's own fairy tale ending.

4.5/Standalone

Amelia thinks that her brother’s hot best friend, Brooklyn, is all wrong for her. Amelia is all too familiar with Brooklyn’s notorious man-whore reputation and his on and off-screen antics. But Amelia is also tired of being the good girl and is disappointed with her family and career. Brooklyn could be the distraction she desperately needs until she goes back to New York.

Brooklyn is a little lost since his hit TV show ended. He’s a lifeguard, aspiring screenwriter, and trying to figure out what he wants out of life when he runs into Amelia. He knows he should keep his best friend Cam’s smoking hot sister in the friend zone. There is no denying the crazy attraction these two share. Cam will kill him if he finds out that he is even looking at his sister. The two decide that they can keep things on the down-low with a no-strings relationship. There is no way Brooklyn can be her Prince Charming. Or is there?

This slow burning, sexy and sweet romance is the stuff that fairytales are made of. What a Hollywood ending (literally). What a great book to start the year. Bravo Kim!
