Jews of Color+ (JOC+) are invited to come together for a virtual, community-building Shabbat. Together we will celebrate shabbat and build community by reflecting on identity, sharing our experiences as Jews of Color, and more. If you have Shabbat candles, wine or grape juice, and/or challah, please feel free to have them available.
This is an affinity space for JOC+ who are marginalized by whiteness either racially or culturally, and strongly and fabulously root themselves in other diverse identities including Black, Indigenous, Latino, Asian, Sephardi, Mizrachi, and more. Non-Jewish People of Color are also welcome. If you are unsure if you fall under the JoC+ umbrella, or have questions about the intentionality of the space, please contact Bekkah at [email protected].
