Warren County Schools has worked diligently to create a plan for increasing student achievement and growth. Below you will find the goals for the WCS Low Performing District Improvement Plan. Please share your feedback/suggestions for each goal listed below. After the public comment period and approval of the plan by the WCS Board of Education, the plan will be submitted to the State Board of Education.

Goal 1: By June 2017-June 2019, enhanced instruction in reading, math, and science will result in an increase in the number of students performing at or above proficiency by at least 10% or more per year as measured by NC Ready EOG/EOC assessments and Reading 3D assessments. *

Goal 2: By June 2017-June 2019, all schools will use a consistent tool to create school improvement plans. This tool will be used to monitor and assess progress of implementation. *

Goal 3: By June 2017-June 2019, WCS will implement opportunities for flexible and innovative instructional programs that will decrease the number of low performing schools. *
