I’m always fascinated by which issues or topics drive worldwide conversation. If you had told me years ago that great swaths of the population around the world would really care about whether or not Britain would leave the European Union, I would not have believed you. But Brexit seems to be one of those rare issues that, like transgendered bathrooms, requires you to have an opinion one way or the other, even if the issue will never personally affect you.

Now, it is my contention that lawyers are often more capable of producing nuanced debates than are others, but since I don’t personally have a view on Brexit, I thought it would make more sense to have folks with more information plus some skin in the game. So, we are joined today by two real life barristers, academics actually. Dr. Rosa Freedman, who is a Senior Lecturer at Birmingham Law School, is going to discuss Brexit with Professor Dr. Eric Heinze, who teaches law and humanities at the Queen Mary University of London.

As always, this is a real-life conversation taking place around the participants’ schedules, so for the best experience, follow along by clicking below.
