Water rose up low-lying side streets in Sea Bright Thursday night, about the same time the National Weather Service issued a coastal flooding warning that includes Monmouth and Ocean counties.

The borough issued a warning for residents to move their cars to high ground.

The National Weather Service warned that coastal flooding is expected with high tides through Friday. That could involve widespread roadway flooding.

Widespread minor coastal flooding is expected with the high tide Friday morning.

High tide will come between 7 and 9 a.m. Friday, and 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Waves along the coast are forecast to be between five and seven feet.

The warning remains in effect until 1 a.m. Saturday.
