CAGED FOR SEVEN YEARS

Iraqi migrant who raped 10-year-old boy in a ‘sexual emergency’ at Austrian swimming pool has jail term increased

The child abuser previously had his six year sentence overturned because court could not prove little lad had said 'no'

AN Iraqi migrant who blamed the rape of a 10-year-old boy on a ‘sexual emergency’ has had his sentence increased.

The 20-year-old paedophile, known only as Amir A, previously had his rape charge overturned by an Austrian court because it could not be proved he knew that the child had said ‘no’.

But he has now been found guilty of both serious sexual assault and rape of a minor – and will serve seven years behind bars.

Before the retrial he was slapped with a six year sentence.

The attacker, who entered Austria via the Balkans, also has to pay the poor child’s family nearly £4,200 – which is over £200 more than the original judgement.

After finding work as a taxi driver in Vienna, Amir A visited a pool in Vienna as part of an integration process last December.

He then raped the little boy in the changing rooms before returning for a swim.

When the child told a lifeguard, the police arrived to find the twisted paedo using the diving board.

Upon questioning, he admitted he knew the assault was wrong but blamed the act on sexual frustration – claiming he had not had sex in four months.

The boy was taken to hospital with internal injuries and still suffers from severe post-traumatic stress disorder.

The lad, who is from the Balkans originally, grew up in Austria with his Serbian mother.

Back in February, the boy's mum said she now regrets teaching her children to be welcoming
to migrants.
