 CNC Machinist
Location: Coventry, England
A well-known, distinguished company based in Coventry that specialises in spark erosion and component manufacturing are looking for a CNC Machinist on a permanent basis. The candidate will join an expanding team manufacturing components for a wide range of industries, operating and setting CNC lathes and CNC machining centre such as Haas.
The successful candidate will:
• Carry out the setting of the machine, including all tooling, fixturing, proving and running of work.
• Complete measurement checks before submitting for first off inspections, making sure checks are carried out throughout the cycle.
• Be able to produce parts in line with route cards and technical drawings.
• Ensure that all parts are made in accordance to schedule requirements and quality standards.
The Machinist will insure the correct loading and manufacturing of all components to drawing and setting instructions, as well as adhering to departmental procedures and maintaining company’s quality procedures, plus able to program and set up machine from scratch. They will carry out Total Preventive Maintenance activities while highlighting any improvements that would increase efficiency. The CNC Machinist will complete all relevant paperwork and ensure it is filed away correctly as well as making sure quality checks and requirements are met using the correct measuring equipment.
