Personality Traits and Malingering Behaviour

This research explores personality traits as mediators of malingering behaviour. We are interested in personality traits that may affect an individual’s behaviour and choices when looking at personal injury claims following a road traffic accident. As part of this, you were asked questions regarding your opinion of a person’s behaviour when making such a claim following a road traffic accident. You also completed questionnaires that look at a range of personality characteristics.

There is limited previous research in this area and we are hopeful these results will contribute to a better understanding of how personality traits affect people malingering behaviour following a road traffic accident in regards to making a personal injury claim and what beliefs may contribute to their behaviour.

Please be aware that all participation is anonymous and only group results will be reported.
