Get Fit and Have Fun
Join us in three 20‐minute fitness sessions designed to improve your health and wellbeing. All sessions will be light intensity, but you can work at you own level and pace. Light snacks, water, and a yoga mat will be provided. Athletic clothes are recommended but not required, and you may bring your own yoga or exercise mat if you prefer.
The sessions will provide samples of strength, cardio, flexibility and stress reduction techniques. You’ll have the opportunity to try:
- Mindful Yoga– yoga is a great way to improve flexibility and unwind from a stressful day. This workshop will introduce the basics of yoga, including some light stretching and brief meditation.
- Strength Training for Women – strength training is essential to maintaining healthy bones and muscles as we age. This workshop will introduce you to basic strength exercises that can be performed at home or in the gym.
- WERQ Dance Fitness (Light) – this dance based fitness class is a fun option to aerobic exercise. This class will stay at a light intensity and speed so you can learn the basics without having to break a sweat.
