Feast your eyes on this, ladies and gentleman, because what you're about to see is a once-in-a-lifetime sight: a blue lobster.

According to Boston.com, the odds of catching a blue lobster are about one in two million, which makes Plymouth lobsterman Wayne Nickerson extremely lucky because he caught not one, but two of these babies.

He caught his first one back in 1990, and it was later displayed in a tank at a Manomet lobster pound. He hit the jackpot once again on Monday morning, and he and wife Jan Nickerson immediately knew this one was extra special.

"It was more brilliantly blue than the bluest hydrangea you've ever seen," Jan told The Boston Globe. "It was almost fluorescent. It was almost glowing."

While blue lobsters are rare in general, this one is especially incredible because it weighs two pounds. It's amazing, given its size and color, that it wasn't eaten by a larger animal.

The Nickersons aptly named the lobster Bleu and took him to shore to show him off to a bunch of cheering children on a boat tour called Lobster Tales. Afterwards, Bleu was taken to a safe and secure location, where he awaits to hear whether or not the New England Aquarium can find him a permanent home.
