Zayn Rayyan murder: Cops drain river where body was found


PETALING JAYA: The river where the body of Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matiin was found is being drained so that the police can search for clues.

At around 11.30am Tuesday (Dec 12), an Irrigation and Drainage Department truck was seen entering the cordoned-off crime scene.

A forensics team followed minutes later, with the K-9 unit reaching the site at around 12.30pm.

Sources confirmed that a pump was deployed to drain the river.

The six-year-old autistic Zayn Rayyan was found dead on Dec 6, about 34 hours after his reported disappearance.

His body was discovered in a river near his home at Idaman Apartment in Damansara Damai at about 10pm.

Based on a post-mortem, police said he is believed to have been murdered.
