Appearance
30
Alemi is a quite attractive young Liontaur with dark brown hair and slightly darker than normal fur.
31
She is nice enough to cater to the prejudices of the locals and so wears a halter top at all times.
32
33
By Liontaur standards she is a little smaller than the norm. Other than her claws her only lethal weapon is a crossbow
34
but she has a variety of non lethal weapons on her
35
36
She wears obviously full saddlebags back on her whithers
37
38
It is fairly common for her to be using magic to reduce her size to that of a leopard/halfling centaur mix (reduce person)
39
Personality
40
Leskni is still quite young, barely an adult by the standards of her people. She is somewhat naive and idealistic,
41
42
Like all Linotaurs, Leskni is quite proud of what she is. She especially dislikes it when she is treated as an ignoble race or savage by people that she considers her
43
inferiors in many ways. But she tries hard to hide that dislike, to mostly take it all in stride, to let it wash over herself.
44
45
She has a weak spot for children of all species, and has even been known to offer young children a ride from time to time
46
47
She is basically a kind, caring compassionate person. Reasonably brave but not absurdly so. She dislikes killing, even to hunt. Nonetheless, she IS a hunter, just one
48
who honours her prey and takes only what she needs to survive.
49
50
She is very good at dealing with people. While she prefers to tell them the truth and deal honourably with them she is also quite willing to deceive
51
people if the situation requires it.
52
53
Flaws
54
She can sometimes snap when people treat her as a savage
55
56
Her love for children can sometimes cause her to misevaluate a situation
57
History
58
Leskni grew up on Liontaur island, the daughter of a local witch. Unlike amongst some other peoples, amongst her Pride witches hold a respected place in society
59
60
During her childhood, she had few dealings with outsiders. She apprenticed with her father as a witch. Like him, she made a pact with Aleni.
61
62
It was during her coming of age ceremony that life changed for Leskni. She found a couple of shipwrecked human sailors lying nearly dead on a beach. She managed
63
to save their lives. Young enough to expect gratitude for saving them, she was shocked and appalled when they treated
64
her as a savage barbarian and even tried to kill her. It was only then that she fully realized what being thought to be “ignoble' meant
65
66
She had decided that this is just wrong. She is on a personal mission to convince other races that Liontaurs are Noble. And maybe even the other Taurs are too,
67
Basically, she sees herself as a missionary amongst the so called noble races.
68
69
She briefly visited Bridge Island. While she agrees with their hope that the Taurs can be recombined into one Race and would help to do that she does not see that as her mission in life.
70
71
Taking ship with her distant merchant cousins she travelled with them for a short time, learning something of the outside world.
72
73
But the life of a merchant was hardly the one she wanted. She wanted to HELP people. She also wanted adventures, to see more of the world.
74
75
And she wanted to be part of a group again, She felt lonely in the cities and towns, surrounded by people who treated her like dirt much of the time.
76
77
Hearing of a place in the wilderness where people were judged by who they are and not what they are she has set out to reach the Tree of Parting
