Boys Volleyball Coach of the Year: Chandler Seton Catholic's Nick Price
Boys Volleyball Coach of the Year
Nick Price
School: Chandler Seton Catholic
Season recap: With his team making the jump to Division II for the first season, Nick Price took the opportunity and ran with it. Seton Catholic defeated Glendale Ironwood in three sets this season to capture its first state title, just a year removed from taking an early exit at the hands of Chandler Hamilton in the second round of last year’s Division I tournament. Price led his team to a 41-4 record in his second year at the helm this season in Division II.
Coach Price’s comment: “The thing I kind of stress to them (the players) is just when they take the court, ultimately, you want to just be very competitive on the court, just be aggressive, leave everything out on the court, just basically play with no regrets. I kind of reinforce the fact that mistakes will happen and that you can relate it to life where, you know, mistakes do happen, but if you’re able to work through them, good things will happen as long as you do the things you’re supposed to be doing.”
